Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BCA because I wanted to get into the IT sector. It depends on which course you choose. For me, we have 4 sections and the ratio is 1/40. Faculties are well educated and they have at least MCA or MBA degree from a prestigious college. Every faculty is so supportive and work hard to teach everything. We had three exams in one semester and exams are based on what we are taught so if you are hardworking students they aren't that hard.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placement after the second year they can try to take part in walk-in interviews in college for jobs or campus placement So many companies visit each year including hcl, kamaboko, etc. Some companies have given 16 lakh packages to students but the mostly average package is 4 lakh/per year. The percentage of students getting is like 20 or 30%. I want to go for MCA after BCA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is simple. You can deposit whole fees at the start of the year or you can choose to deposit fees in parts. The cost to study is cheap, I think middle-class people can easily afford it. Books are given by the college and no other extra fees are charged for events and stuff. I am still a student so still learning there but many people are getting placement on campus so it's pretty good.

Campus Life

4.5

Well, so far we have two annual fests. The first one is the fresher party which is organized every year in December or February. Other than that we have so many small events happening every day in college and activities. You can find any book you need to study in the library so it's pretty good. Our classroom has AC and fans for summer, so it's pretty comfortable. We have some clubs where you can join similar people and perform activities.

Admission

You have to graduate 12th class. There should be mathematics subjects included in your class 12 curriculum. Visit the college and check with the reception they will help you with the whole process. The admission process is smooth they tell you everything about subjects fees and everything needed to know.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
