Entrance Preview
IIFT conducts its own examination each year, generally a week before CAT which has the same sections as other MBA entrance examinations namely Quant, Verbal, DI+LR and General Awareness. The cutoff varies year on year depending on the difficulty level of the exam. In my year, the cut-off was 50. I score 60/100 which made it easier to get in as written exam had 65% weightage.
Internships Opportunities
All the companies who visit for placements come for internship as well. The internship is at par with IIM Indore, Kozhikode etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is on the expensive side. For the class of 2013-15, the tuition fees was Rs. 13,25,000 for two years. Add to that around Rs. 1,00,000 for hostel (2 years) and the same amount for mess (~Rs. 4000/month). The overall cost comes out to be Rs.15 lakhs without miscellaneous expenses which can set you back by another Rs. 1 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
Almost all the students avail the SBI scholar loan which is a collateral free education loan of upto Rs. 15 lakh provided only to students of selected colleges (list A) - a total of 52 colleges including MBA, engineering, medical and other institutes.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is not too good since unlike IIMs there is no special treatment given to female candidates apart from 2 marks for gender diversity at the time of admission. Since the campus is small, there are not many facilities - only basic ones like Basket Ball court, a cemented area which serves as volleyball court, badminton court or futsal court depending on the need.
