Course Curriculum Overview
Eiot in Nsut was the best course for my rank according to cutoff. Faculty student ratio is good. But only some of the faculty actually teach properly and take regular classes(but are strict about attendance), most others do not care much, but are receptive if you engage in the class. Most teachers are well qualified(including IITians). Term exams are easy if one studies regularly and passable if studied a few days before. The exam schedule is good.
Internships Opportunities
From third year onwards, companies come on campus for internships, including Sprinkler, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Most interns get PPOs in the fourth year, for eg: sprinkler offered 40+ lakhs package to around 40 students, most of whom were interns in their third year.
Placement Experience
The placements are really very good. Highest package was around ?2 crore. There are many 70-80 lakh+ packages. Average package is around 16-17 lakhs, median is 13-13.5 lakhs. In third years , companies come for internships, around 15-25% of the students get them. In fourth year , companies come on campus for placements, more than 90% of the students get placed. Companies include google, Microsoft, sprinkler, Texas Instruments, Adobe, Meta, Netflix , Goldman Sachs, etc. I plan on bagging a very good package after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Earlier the fees were very affordable, but now they have been hiked. Still they are not too much, comparable to other good universities including Nits and IITs. Total 4 year fee is 10-11 lakhs. There are many scholarships available for EWS, SC, ST, OBC (100, 75, 50, 25 % scholarship). There are scholarships for the top scoring students as well.
Campus Life
College life is very exciting. Moksha is the annual fest , it is the one of the largest fests in northern India. Techweek is also a tech fest which includes hackathons, competitions, Dj nights, etc. There are many other fests like NsutThon, Colloqium, etc. There are many clubs and societies and most are active. Clubs like Debsoc(debating society), Ashwamedh (Drama Club), Mirage(Dance Club) are very active. The infrastructure of the campus is really good. Library is very huge complex and has almost all the books (especially related to the subjects). Classrooms are really good too, Ac ventilation, projector screen , spacious etc. The atmosphere of the classroom is very study friendly. Even the older classrooms are being renovated. There are many sports including basketball, football, cricket, badminton, lawn tennis, chess, etc. There is even a gym with very good equipments. Overall the experience is better than I thought.
Admission
I gave JEE (Main and Adv.) and got 97.4 percentile. I had applied for JAC Delhi for admission to Nsut, Dtu and Iiit D. JAC Delhi is a very streamlined procedure , bit different from Josaa counselling. You can find the application form for JAC Delhi on their website. Application fee was 1000-1500. The registration had started a few weeks after the JEE results. There is reservation for SC,ST, OBC, single girl child, defence personnel and 85% reservation for delhi students. Only problem is that the process is a bit slow, could be made faster. You could get a seat in Nsut till around 50000-60000 tank for general category, Dtu has similar cutoffs.
