Entrance Preview

I gave HP CET entrance exam and scored well in that i wished to improve my engineering skills so joined bachelor in technology. As I want to be an engineering student I had technical knowledge and so to be a good leader I needed engineering skills hence Bachelor in technology.

Placement Experience

Actually I don't have an idea about it because I am in 1st year but iI think that our college concludes with good placements and had a tie up with good companies too. I am not known to the companies and packages also but still is known that every student is satisfied at last.

Campus Life

Campus life is good and gender ratio is almost equal and everyone behaves like family as everyone are of cooperative nature and are help full too. No one feels that there is no one behind them. There also many workshops and games that take place which makes feel good

Hostel Facilities

Hostel accommodation will be allotted only on the production of ID card and hostel fee receipt. As far as possible, the wardens try to accommodate the candidates with the roommate of the same batch. However, it may not be possible to do so in all cases at time of admission

External Expense: Rs.10000 - Rs.15000

Faculty

Faculty is very well educated and are masters in there particular subject as no one need any tuition if a student concentrate properly in class. Our faculty has many ways to teach us which doesn't make any student bore and attracts the student towards the subject.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I think in the matter of the view it, it is far better than the universities, they have really good view and the society is quite clean. The nature of the outside of the university is very nice. Very greenery around the university, but there is a issue in the green tree that there are so many wild animals around mountains. I don't really remember the colleges I applied for from whom I got confirmed admission forms, I chose this college over the NIRF ranking and it is also close to my hometown.
