Satisfied with college as an average student

Overall i can give the 6/10 i.e. 6 rating out of 10. College is good in some way like their staff and improving the skills improvement of students but the bad thing about the college is that their are very company came to college for campus drive and the ratio of girls as compare to boys is very less.

No entrance exam i gave to get admission in this college. They give me admission on the basis of my 12th class performance. I chose civil engg because this college serves better staff teachers than other colleges if compared.

The course structure consist of total 8 semesters, i.e 2 semesters per year and total of 4 years. 1st yr (1st & 2nd) sem is common for all branches. So the students have an opportunity to change their streams according to their interest. After this ,the next 6 semesters contains all the subjects related to civil engg and personality development.

Yes college had provided the internship after first year to all the branches on the basis of personality development and on language 'C in programming'. But after 3rd year no company came for civil engg for internship, we have to do the internship by our ownself.

Placement and job opportunities are very less in this college for civil stream as very less companies came for placement, maybe 4-5 companies. Company give the package of arount 3-4 lpa. So to get placement we have to go to other colleges too like PIET College, in which maximum companies came for civil engineers recruitment.

College celebrates all the events which are possible. They organise farewell as well as fresher party. Sports day is celebrated in college once in a year and also intercollege compition is organised. College celebrates the fest around in march which lasts for 5 days in which technical, cultural, management compition held. And this fest is very big in which superstars like Preet Harpal, Hardy Sandhu came to entertain students and staff.

The fee is not so expensive as compared to other colleges. The total of fee for 1 year is Rs.75000 which can be given in semesters as Rs.37485 for odd semester and Rs.30000 for even semesters. So its worthy to give the fee of whole year at a time. Students must submit the fee before the last day of submitting the fee else after this some amount of fine will be added with fee.

No scholorship for General candidates is available but the scholorship for OBC, SC and ST candidates is available. One more scholorship is available for SC & ST candidates which can only be given to those whose attendance is above 80%.

The Gender ratio of college is about 75/35 boys to girls ratio. The girls in the college is very few and their is no girl in my class of civil engg. Many workshops are organised and cultural programs are also included which gives students to increase their overall development. Sports day is celebrated as intercollege as well as intracollege compitition are organised.

Hostel gives the very good facilities like A.C. rooms, big rooms, R.O. water for drinking. Etc. Hostel room consist of personam almirah per student and a double bad for 2 students per room. Proper staying facilities for the family of student if they come to visit their child.

Yes, seniors are helping us in every aspect as they can , and tell all the pros and cons of any work and also explain the procedure to do any work. Seniors tell us about their experience in internship and tell the different and specifil ways to study and also provide the notes.

Exam structure consists of two sessionals exams in between semester, internal practical exams, external practical exams, and main theory exams. Labs are very frequent which is of 4 days in a week. Semesters are of 30 marks and the mean of 2 sessional marks is taken for the final internal exams.

I just visit the college and fill all the necessary forms and submit my certificates. Notification for admission is released just after 12th and JEE exam results and last date for registration is before 15 augast. You must have your original documents with you and the jee result copy if appeared in the examination.

The faculty has an HOD of civil engg department and other staff members who teaches a particular subject. The minimum qualification of the faculty is M.Tech in particular stream ,eg MTECH in Structural engg, Mtech in transportation engg etc. Teachers give their full potential to teach the students, and sometimes motivates them to bring the interest in subjects.
