- College Life is quite poor, since the institute opened in 2014 onkly so its infrastructure is not quite good. So many restrictions are imposed on students
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is freshly prepared with a revised curriculum and offered great knowledge and outcomes Faculty to student ratio is 1:15 Most of the faculty here are either Mtech or PhD holders with 3 to 4 years of experience. The teaching method is very supportive towards students and allows a hassle-free discussion Institute for every semester conducts 3 exams with different weightage along with assignments and unit tests. To pass the exams student's score must be greater than or equal to the average score of the class divided by 2.
Internships Opportunities
As of now internship opportunities are quite less. Institute offers a full semester time to students in their 6th semester which is quite valuable as students get a lot of exposure to the industries. Apart from that students can also make a project under their guidance during that period as an internship.
Placement Experience
IIIT Una has a decent placement. Companies like Amazon, JIO, Smartcoin, Delloite, MarketExcel, Publicis Sapient etc visit the campus. Students in the 8th semester are eligible for campus placements. The highest pakage is 44 lpa offered by Amazon to 7 students. The average pakage of the institute is 12.1 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Course fees are Rs. 103900 and the hostel fee is 29900 for the 2022 batch. Every year a 10 per cent hike in fees can be seen. The cost to study will be around 140000 per semester for a student Institute does not provide scholarships, students can avail of state or central-given scholarships.
Campus Life
Institute has an annual fest and tech fest of iiit una called "Meraki" which is celebrated in the month of September every year. Institute has good sports infrastructure with cricket and football grounds, athletics tracks, Table tennis facilities, and badminton courts. Classrooms are well ventilated, airconditioned and fitted with projectors for a good study experience. Institute has a huge library where students can find all course-related materials IIIT una has many social groups run by students such as FORCE (by CSE and IT), AVESH(by ECE) and EPMOC(Cultural group)
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are available for sharing of 3 students, contain tables, chairs and almirahs for each student Mess food is somewhat poor both in terms of quality and menu. Hostels are allowed by the institute during the admission process
Admission
To be Eligible for the course one must clear JEE mains exam with a decent rank. Eligible candidate then has to go through the JOSAA(Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling to get admissions. There will be toatl 6 rounds of seat allotments in which candidates will be alloted seats. Candidates who are not allotted seats during JOSSA rounds still get a chance to get enrooled in NIT+ system through CSAB counselling. Cutoff of CSE for the year 2022 is 26667 for JOSSA rounds, for the IT branch cutoff was 30394 and for ECE it was 36676 IIIT UNA runs in a PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode and the institute has reservations for SC, ST, OBC, PWD and EWS candidates.
