Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have keen interest in the Electrical Department as it relates to the core Electrical unlike ECE which deals somewhat in electrical as well as coding.Further this department has a very good faculty because it is more of practical based and there is a good interaction between the professor and the students.Talking about BVCOE,the faculty student ratio is about 5 students and 1 faculty. All the faculty members are well qualified in their fields and have a great teaching experience of 10+ years. Some have also played a role in the publication of their books in their particular field. talking about exams,it was rushed no doubt as we were the covid batch so the semesters were cut short and we needed to study quite hard. But we managed because the study material provided to us was sufficient.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are good internships that the college provide as well as suggest to the students. Talking about EEE department, sttudents were given the opportunity to work as interns in companies like DMRC, NHPC etc. So yes definitely internships are a good experience if someone wants to experience from this college.

Placement Experience

4

Companies generally hire students when they are in their 6th semester. Our campus has had students who got placed in companies like Microsoft, Amazon ,ZS, Accenture , TCS and many more with a whoping package. Since I am still pursuing my degree, I might not be able to tell the exact numbers when it comes to Highest and average packages. But Yes,packages are definitely worth if companies like Amazon and Microsoft are coming. My plans are to get into a company looking for a Blockchain Developer where i could definitely act as an asset to the company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is no doubt high if we compare to other universities like DU especially for New Delhi. But students do get scholarship if they belong to reservations like SC/ST and OBC.Other than that they also get fee redemption based on the annual income of their family. If you are a techy student who is here to study and wished to have a good placement then definitely you could easily get a good return of investement irrespective of your branch.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life is way better than most of the other IPU colleges. You've got the best transport connectivity, places to hangout, spacious classrooms and grounds and many more places including the library. We have this tech fest called BVEST which is held every year in the month of March which is a college exclusive fest.Other than that ,the GGSIPU conducts a cultural fest every year in the month of March called ANUGOONJ where students from 126 colleges affiliated to IPU come and have a memorable time. Classrooms are great having projectors and air conditioners. We also conduct a sports fest called RANBHOOMI where students get a chance to portray thier skills in the field of sports. Societies are great as they provide a hell lot of opportuinities to the deserving students which gives them a boost in their career.

Admission

You need to give an entrance exam called JEE Mains(Junior Entrance Exam) for which a student should belong to science background havig an aggregate of 75% or above. Application form is to be filled at website of jeemain.nta.nic.in and the fess of one attempt is about Rs 650/- (as of 2021). On the basis of the percentile scored, you get admission on the basis of the college which releases its cutoff list for several rounds. If you have reservations like SC/ST or OBC you get an additional edge in the cutoff list where the required percentile to get admission is dropped. According to me,its the best admission criteria as the knowledge of 10+2 years are beneficial for the degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
