I liked the campus it ks quite big as compared to others colleges.
I like the hostel,most hygiene and provides best meal
I like the field of this college it huge and many sports can be played here

Dislikes

I don't like the college labs as they are not upto develop
I don't like the girls washroom as there is only one washroom and it is quite old that's why not so clean
I don't like the gathering during exams,they college has big area but buildings are made jumbled so space problems are there

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in Earth and its process, There are 5 teachers and 2 non-teaching staff and every class is having students approx 30 each. Teachers are holding Master's degrees and Ph.D. in Geology and teach very well. In one semester there is 1end semester exam and 1 unit test and sometimes the class test is conducted by teachers if one attends all the classes regularly then it is quite easy to pass the exams.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In one semester the admission fees are around 50000-10000 and examination fees before every exam is around 2000-3000 per semester for the final exam. I didn't get any scholarship or financial assistance and jobs or internship etc.

Campus Life

The college conducts various fest. Many fests are mostly conducted in November-December. This college has a huge library and has many books academic as well as others. There is an NCC dept where most of the students from Barak valley come from various colleges and the college conduct various sports competition etc. The students mostly use WhatsApp groups and Facebook pages for any updates.

Admission

One must pass HS with 60% and above in physic, chemistry, and maths. Notifications related to admission etc are easily available on Facebook and other social platform and application form are available on the college website.

Life at G.C College, Silchar

Apart from this college I also applied to Assam University, Silchar but the campus is too far from my home and Gurucharan college, Silchar is nearer to my home and due to that I chose my current college. To get admission in Gurucharan college, Silchar, you need to apply at samarth portal of Assam government first then after fullfilling all the procedures you can go to college website and take admission to in any of the desired course and if you missed the chance, at the end of July if seats are still unfilled the college starts an on-spot admission process where you have to visit college and on the basis of first come first admit they start admitting students until seats are fulfilled.
