Course Curriculum Overview

Semesters are mostly 4-5 months, and 2 internal exams take place in a semester. One has to study for getting passed in the exam. Semester questions are not that easy and not that difficult. Objective lab exams take place.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 27840 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are not that much good in our college. It's better for mining students as this college is special in mining engineering. The mining engineering students get good packages and placement. The average package for mining students is 9 lakhs. For other branch students, it varies from 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs per annum. Companies- Adani, Tata Power, JSW, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees 1st year-39000. From the second year onwards it's 27840 for general students. For EWS category students it's I think 10000 less. I didn't remember the accurate fee structure. Hostel fees are 40000 per year with the mess. Scholarship - state government (Odisha govt), Post matric scholarship, Kaliya scholarship, and National scholarship portal.

Campus Life

Clubs are there, such as RAW (robotics club), dance academy, and google developer students club. Programs are conducted regularly. Different sports are played.

Hostel Facilities

Well, there are 2 boys hostels: Gandhamardhan boys hostel (only for 1st-year students) and Baldev Jew boys hostel(senior boys hostel), Baitarani hall of residence (1st-year girls hostel), Maa training hall of residence (senior girls hostel). The registration process is during the yearly admission time only. It takes place during admission as well as re-admission. Messes are available but it's around 1 km away from the college.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

As I am a student of this college so I can give a detail. Admission is through OJEE web counseling. Scores of JEE MAINS and OJEE are accepted. The application can be found on the OJEE website. Reservations are there for students of Odisha. Fees are also different for EWS category students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college. I would recommend this college if your rank is between 1.5lakh and above. This is the best college you will get in this rank in terms of placements . I've applied for vssut burla and cet bhubaneswar.but I've got in this college and this course from the starting.
