- Due to being a Science only college the culture of the college is a bit lack lusture.
- Some teachers are really difficult especially when it comes to organising events and such
- College is off campus and not well known so other DU students won't know the college by name.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Sc.(Hons) C.S. out of personal interest. The faculty of the CS department is good. The professors can teach offline but their ability to teach gets hampered when teaching in online classes. The exams are held at the end of each semester and are decently difficult depending on the subject.
Internships Opportunities
Most students approach companies on their own for internships but the college does get companies for internships and even placements. Some student interns from BCAS earn as much as 15k. One such company is Zell Education that approached our CS department for interns.
Fees and Financial Aid
Computer Science from BCAS is one of the Cheapest in all of DU at 22k rupees. The college also offers fee concessions and scholarship programs that can help students. Fees were hiked recently but the overall cost still remains pretty low.
Campus Life
Campus Life is getting better after the lockdown ended. The annual fest of BCAS is called Srijan which takes place around March- April. Other than that every department has their own individual fests. And the Culture committee (ECA committee) can organise additional fests that may or may not be relating to a particular theme. Admission
The Application process for DU colleges has changed now after the implementation of the CUET entrance exam. The admission process I went through was pretty straight forward. I applied to colleges that reached the Cut off for and got selected in BCAS, DU.
