Entrance Preview

I have given JEE Advance and got AIR 2854 choose BITM mainly due to closeness to my home in Santiniketan and due to the rank constraint.

Internships Opportunities

I did go out for internship as being in B.Tech and after that I was receiving a stipend of Rs. 8000/- per month. Apart from this I was getting annual contingency grant of Rs. 5000/-.

Placement Experience

Yes, Job opportunities are quite good when it comes to on-campus placements. One can apply for any company of choice, irrespective of whether it's his/her core company or not.

Campus Life

Emphasis will be given to character building and discipline. Sports and Games will be made compulsory for this purpose in the academic curricula. BITM encourages and welcomes students of different countries, who cutting across the boundary of geographical barriers shall enrich their countries culture, understand each other in a better way and pave the way to world peace in the long run.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes almost all the students of our batch are in touch with each other through a whatsapp group. Some of them are in very reputed organizations like ONGC, GE, Maruti Suzuki etc.

Faculty

The faculty of our department is one of the reputed faculties in BITM with all the resources available. All the faculty members were highly qualified and very much supporting.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I took addmission to this college by the means of WBJEE exam. It would be more better and economical to visit the college itself and talk about addmission and course fees, the general fee for B.tech CSE in the year 2021 was 2,50,000. If you are a resident of West Bengal you may also avail of the TFW scheme through which you may get up to 90% concession on tution fees payment.
