I have given JEE-2013, although my score in all examination was quite promising, I choose Bengal Institute of Technology and Management because it is the best engineering college in India.
Internships Opportunities
The College organizes several events and encourages students to participate in various extra-curricular activities like tree-plantation, blood donation camps, tech events, and so on. Around 150 companies came for internship in which 45 was available for mechanical branch. Amount of stipend varied from 4000-100000 p.m. Many company like Facebook, yahoo, micr opt for internships.
Placement Experience
From our department, 100 percent of the students get placed each year. Placement season starts from the first of december. On the first day, around 35-40 companies come. Google, facebook, microsoft all these big companies come on first day. Some of them also go international.
Campus Life
Campus life at BITM was great. It gives you everything to groom ones personality if you use it wisely. Any thing you want is available there. There were lots and lots of activities in which you could take part. Speak of any activity and it will be available there like any sport, robotics, debates. The quality of such events was also good. You can take part in any good or bad level competition depending on your talent.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities in the hostel was good. We are provided with many activities there. There was a big TV room, table tennis, computer room, fine arts room, badminton court, basket ball court in each hostel. But the availability of room was not very good at BITM. We were provided single rooms from the fourth year. Mess food was not so good. Mostly we have to eat outside.
Alumni/Alumna
You become the alumni after you passed out from the college. There is a alumni card given to you after you clear your no dues. Alumni network is great. There is reunion organized each year at BITM for different batches. they are very great and alumni do attend such events. Many alumni and students work for the alumni network in BITM.
