Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because I have completed 3 year diploma in civil engineering also I was interested in learning how to make a building structure and also how to design and what things I can make to make it cost-effective. The faculty-student ration is 5:20. The teaching method is very good as the teachers use proper ways of teaching like the use of ppt in the class and also equal use of chalk and boards for delivering the lecture.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offered good and stipend-based internships on the basis of student performance during the interview. These companies include TCS, MORTH, DELHI METRO, and MUNICIPAL COMMITTEE. A survey camp is conducted every year after the semester exams especially in the month of June in Himachal Pradesh.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for the campus placements after the completion of the 6th sem as this is the main eligibility for sitting in the placements. There are many companies visit every year for their requirements, these companies such as Tata, TCS, NAGARROO, GAMMON INDIA LIMITED, HINDUSTAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, and many more which offers good and high-value package.
Fees and Financial Aid
No fee hike policy is applied by the college during the full course. Also, the course is very costly to study as they provide many opportunities like placements, and 2+2 programs, which also help us to become independent and skilled people. There are many scholarship programs run by the college which include DRCC, PMSSS, AGCNEST, NSP, and PMSS. The college also provides financial assistance during the end semester.
Campus Life
There are many annual fests and tech fests organized by the college every year such as Prayaas, the annual athlete, and Fusion. There is proper availability of books regarding the courses and also for the competitive exams. The college departments organise many sports events side by side such as cricket, badminton, football, volleyball, basketball, etc.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is too simple. You should take part in counseling during the admissions. You should have diploma in civil engineering of minimum of 3 years or you should have math and physics in the 12th. The application form is available in the college admission cell or it is also available on the college websites i.e www.agcamritsar.in.
