Remarks

Seniors here are very helpful and are there to help right from the counselling session.They interact with freshers and make them familiar with culture of college.The college has strict policy regarding to ragging. The alumni network is very good with alumni spread all over the world and connected to IMU in various ways.

Entrance Preview

I took admission into electrical engineering stream in Indian Maritime University in 2011 through my IMU-CET. And i have been surprised by the college in a good way. I did not except this college to be this good and the faculties are one of the reasons why I say this.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses for the post graduate program is divided in semesters with 5-6 courses in each semester. Along with technical courses, Management Principles and Cooperate Laws are also taught to students to acquaint them to the industrial principles.

Campus Life

campus is great with huge campus, wifi in all labs and hostels,all sports facilities and an central library. There are canteens with great food. Infrastructure is improving with one more academic block coming. Gender ratio is fair with around 6 girls in the ratio of 13 boys. The university is culturally diverse with students from Punjab, HP,Haryana,UP,MP,Rajasthan and Bihar.

Faculty

HOD of most departments are skilled and holds a phd degree and have published many research papers.The other faculty is new and don't have much experience.Due to increasing seats the faculty is expected to teach more courses and quality is also deteriorating .Student to faculty ratio will be around 60:1.The course curriculum here is focused widely on mechanical and other core branches and is improving.

An insight to college life

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for Summer Internship from 2nd semester while for Final placements from 5th semester. Some of the companies which come for placement are JP Morgan & Chase, Decathalon, BNY, Mastercard, Cocoblu, Bajaj, ICICI Bank. The highest which was offered was of 24 Lakhs while the average is 14 Lakhs. 85% of students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is to work for an organization and learn and grow in the management field.

Placement Experience:

The placements at ISSM Business School are excellent, with students becoming eligible from the final semester and nearly 100% placement achieved, as top companies like Wipro, Accenture, TCS, and Deloitte visit the campus offering roles across various domains, with packages ranging from around ?6 LPA to ?29 LPA and an average of about ?13.6 LPA, and after completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job through campus placement and grow professionally in my chosen field.

Placement Experience:

In issm they provide 100 % a placements because the overall strength of the colleges for campus 1 180 and campus 2 is 130 so it's very easy for them to get students place and companies like Deloitte and lots like that be company are coming so that training take you is so definitely the students can get placed under percent

About ISSM BUSINESS SCHOOL

Placement Experience:

In ISSM they are offering internship opportunities for students in 2 semester itself. And most of the companies are offering PPO (Pre Placement Offer) for the interns. Probably mid of 3 semster the students will placed as full time employee before complete their MBA degree. No college will give this kind of opportunities for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I preferred MBA because i need to gain knowledge about business and managing skill, Where it can help me in future for my own business! But why i have Choose ISSM is because their teaching method is very interesting and i'm a student prefer to practical class rather the theory books! and even they provide Dual Degree at low fees structure. So ISSM provides that so i joined ISSM.

Pros and cons of IMU Chennai

Actually I wanted to go to ts chanakya navu Mumbai campus it's better than imu chennai for bsc but that time I didn't know how to apply for counselling and I put imu chennai over ts chanakya on my preference list so I got imu chennai.I gave the exam in 2023 that time my rank was 1431 ews category so I would've easily got ts chanakya in first list but I thought chennai is the head quarters so it must be better.For being eligible for imu colleges you must have a score of 60% avg in pcm in 12th and. 70% in English in 10th and 12th .You must clear IMU-CET exam and after that apply for counseling process . After that if you are medically fit just go to the college verify your passport and other documents and there you go....!!!...Read More
