Remarks

Yes, I can go on forever about speaking of my college. Especially about the college facilities. I agree that the fees is really cheap as compared to the other colleges but that is no reason to compromise on the quality of study and living. The college sho

Entrance Preview

Admission criteria to a DU college is as simple as this : Score high in class 12. I scored a 92% and got directly admitted to the college without any hassles. No further group discussion or interview was required.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Honestly speaking, I did not even imagine that my course, ie. B.com (program) would be such a havoc and disastrous. Before taking admission in this course, I apprehended that the curriculum would be vast and a lot of new things related to commerce and business would be taught but it was nothing near to the same. Most things taught so far are related to what studied earlier in the +2.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does. But its rare and i'm not really sure about the stipend provided. There is a college placement cell but even the passouts suffer to get a good job out of it.

Placement Experience

1.5

Very few companies step into our college, from what I have heard, and the job opportunities that we get does not derive a very good package. Not really sure about the placement figures but it was about a 3.3 lakhs/pa for certain companies. It was also heard that KPMG and a couple of start ups are going to come for the campus placements but that has not happened yet.

College Events

1

Many events do take place in the college premises. Which include: Departmental freshers : The freshers party for each department, like economics, commerce, physics, etc. College freshers: This is the freshers party for the whole college together. Departmental and college fests: These can be really massive, ranging from a couple of classrooms to half of college. And there are some other small events as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very feasible. Students pay about less than 5000 bucks a year for the whole fees. And comparing from the last year, my fees got down from 4670 to 4320. That's very rare when it comes to colleges because in most of the private colleges, students end up paying more than a lakh rupees for a semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nope, I doubt if for a fees so less, any loans would be offered by my college or for that say, any other bank. And as per the scholarships, I think that the students who are Physically handicapped need to pay a very nominal amount of money.

Campus Life

1.5

We have many societies, such as the photography, Dramatics, dance, Music and debate society etc, I have been a part of many of them, including the dramatics and photography but one needs to be very dedicated and passionate about the field if they feel like pursuing that in college as it requires a lot of time and patience. I was pursuing certain other courses, Academic and non academic which made it really hard to cope up. However, you need to have some knowledge about the field before joining as there are auditions. As per the sports, we do have teams but the people in them are really busy throughout the year that most of them not even get the chance to attend the classes.

Hostel Facilities

2

There are no hostel or mess in my college premises. However, there are hostels of south campus which can be availed by all the Delhi University students, but mostly those pursuing masters. The whole south campus area is stuffed with many PGs and flats, w

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors help a lot to get settled and clear your curiosities because what we are going through in college life, they have already been there and done that. They can be of a great help to deal with certain problems.

Exam Structure

In b.com, there is hardly and lab exams that i've come across so far. But we do have internal exams, conducted by the teachers. And then we have the end- semester exams conducted by the university, twice a year. The teachers also gives marks for assignmen

The faculty as a whole cannot be judged as good or bad. They have their ways of teaching and making us learn. Some professors give us a lot of work including the assignments and projects while the others just don't care at all. And there have been times t

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
