Review of my college

Our college is in a way - a baby college, a institute that is still being nurtured and still growing, so it needs to be given some time for both physical and overall growth of this college, however you can come to this college, as you'll get a degree of a NIT and moreover the placements are very good and acceptable.

I appeared in the jee mains-2015 and i scored there 110 marks and 79.2% marks in my state board(bihar board) and hence i got this college. I am from general category so i was allotted this college in the 4th round. The admission process is very easy, you just take the said documents along with the allotment letter and get the admission.

The course structure is so well designed that will transform you into a good engineer for both research and placement point of view, you can get these details from the college site. The college has different branches including Mechanical engineering, civil engineering, EEE, EC, CSE , Physics department including research part as well, chemistry department,Maths department,etc. and almost in everyone you'll get the chances of research.

Yes it does, but for selected streams, however it does depend on the teachers if they are not too busy or are working on that particular topic in which the intern person wants to work therein. I am not sure about the stipend that is being provided to the students or even i am not sure whether the stipend is provided to the students or not, you need to talk to the teachers or to the administration for the same. But Yeah if you even wants to learn something without being paid for that, then you can choose our college for the same.

The placement record of our college for 2016-17 batch was outstanding, if you see the college site for the same then you'll find it that many students have been placed this year from mechanical department and other branches as well in many renowned companies like BPCL, L&T, wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini etc. The maximum package offered was from BPCL and it was around 15 lakhs, and the average package was still 6 lakhs.

Every year a tech fest is held named as OUGRI, which also includes cultural fest as well. A freshers meet is held every year for the first year students along with many workshops held by many renowned companies. In our tech fest which is also a cultural fest is held for five days in which there are many functions to enjoy along with the workshops and technical programmes, There is DJ night, Mega Night, Mini night etc,

From 2016 batch, a very good scheme has been launched by the MHRD of indian government that any students whose parent's income is less than 1 lakh , they'll not have pay any fee those who are having their income between 1 lakh to 2 lakh, they have to pay some percentage of the total fee, however i am a student from 2015 batch so my Total fee for a semester is 60140 including hostel fee which is around 20140.

Yeah you can get both of these, loan is availed to the students under PNB loan scheme, you can get these details from the office, as far as the scholarship programme is concerned, it is only for the reserved categories,i.e., for sc/st/obc. There is no scholarship for general category scheme but if you have your income less than 1 lakh you do not need to pay the fee, so don't worry if you're a poor in general like me, but since i'm from 2015 batch so i am not eligible for this kind of fee remittance ,but i have taken the loan.

Gender ratio is little less,however you'll see a number of girls here, campus life is little less enjoyable than the other engineering colleges or than what you might be expecting, and you'll see a good diversity in the students as the students are coming from everywhere even from Ladakh and Telangana, So now you can think about the importance of this college.

There is no Extra charge of hostels once you pay the hostel fee at the beginning of the semester i.e., 20240. The hostels are quite accommodative, and in each room 3 students are being accommodated. The hostel condition is very good along with the bathrooms and toilets, they are above satisfaction. The mess food is also good, the culture of here is little different but the food is cooked in two parts for local there is different food and for others the food is different. So be assured you will get the above average food stuffs to eat.

I haven't had any alumni meet till nw with my seniors, but i'm in touch with my seniors they are really living a good life as many of them have been placed in good companies so our college is good platform to avail many companies to hire you as their employees.

The exams are very punctual, that is you have mid terms and end terms along with the periodic internal exams, apart from them you will have many assignments and moreover you'll have to complete your minimum 75% attendence requirement. The labs are very well equipped with many sophisticated tools and machineries as i'm from the Me department so i have the much idea about this branch only, the labs are very good and are enough to learn the required skills.

There is a range of date in between you have to report at the college along with the required documents and as far as the filling of forms are concerned, they are just formalities that you will need to do there, they are quite simple, that's it. The administration will do your favour and they are quite supportive at the time.

The faculties are all IITians, many of them are having good experience as well, they focus very well on the subjects, make proper explanations, provoke students to do presentations ,assignments so as to invoke in them a good knowledge of engineering discipline. They use PPTs to explain the basic stuffs of the particular discipline and help a lot in making the things clear at the time.
