Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in coding that's why I choose BE CSE. The faculty is so good and cooperative. All teachers are Ph.D. holders and have an impressive way of teaching. We are having exams semester-wise. It's not much difficult to pass as because of the earlier Sessional Test you have enough knowledge to pass.

Internships Opportunities

Chitkara University alumni are placed in leading companies such as Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, etc. They are working in multiple sectors, such as Engineering, Business Development, IT, Operations, Education, and more.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for campus placement. It can even be before that it just depends on your knowledge. Maximum students got placed and had an average package of 5-6 lakh. Basically, according to chinkara, it's 100% placement. but you have to do your best.

Fees and Financial Aid

You just have to pay 80,000 at the time of admission and the rest semester has 70k fees. There is no increase in fee then. Colleges provide even loans for students who can't afford them. Even having siblings in the same University can have some concessions.

Campus Life

Algo is the greatest fest of the University. It is conducted in March or April. Books for studying are available in the library and you can have them when you need them. Our class is available with Wi-Fi, A.C., and projectors, and others needed for the studying environment.

Hostel Facilities

Your room in the hostel will be provided with max 4- seater for boys with a cooler and fans, and W-IFI. The meal is quite normal. You can avail of the hostel after admission and pay fees through the app. Even having 2- a seater but Max avail for seniors and the faculty members.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

You are eligible if you have scored 60% in class 12th. You can find the application form on the Chitkara Himachal Pradesh Main site. There is no application fee, you can fill application form for free online.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
