Course Curriculum Overview
I Was interested in the electrical Faculty: the student ratio is a little low, too many students. But divided into classes so still possible to get to know profs. All profs are PhDs or post-doctoral, assisted by research scholars. Teaching methods vary based on the different profs which is why there's a flexible system allowing to choose profs. Timely exams are set by each prof for their class based on what they've done in class. Some tough but overall passable.
Internships Opportunities
In 3rd and 4th year internship opportunities start to become available with many companies approaching the college with offers. These are lesser in number than the final job offers and so it is much harder to get an internship on campus. Many choose off-campus internships due to this. But the final placements after 4th year do not have this issue. A lot of students are present, thus a lot of competition.
Fees and Financial Aid
fee distribution category wise so the higher your rank in the viteee entrance the better your category and the lower your fees. For my year 1st category starts at approx 1. 9 lakhs followed by the 2nd category at approx 3 lakhs and so on till category 5. The largest fee jump is between Category 1 and Category 2. No campus jobs as far as I'm aware especially for 1st years
Campus Life
2 fests every year Cultural or the more fun one called Vibrance in Feb and a tech called technovit in September. Huge library and digital library with all course-related books and not related books and journals. But students tend to hide some coursework-related books on other shelves till they can get them themselves. Classrooms have whiteboards blackboards and a projector each. Only some labs have acs. A bunch of sports teams and a lot of clubs hold events throughout the year. Almost every week there's usually one event or the other. Vitrendz is one of the most popular clubs that do everything from fics helping to prof rating to making memes They also have their website and instal page for it all
Admission
you have to answer the entrance exam VITEEE and based on ranking in that exam you attend counselling where you give your choices in order of priority including categories and campus. After this, you get assigned ur course based on rank and your choice list. Details of the exam are all on the official vit website. Usually, cse seats get filled up the fastest after that ece and ecm and finally eee. Rankwise cutoffs vary each year. The admissions process is fairly smooth overall.
