Ramjas - A Place to Be

B.Com(H) from Ramjas College, North Campus is one of the most sought-after courses after the 12th. Ramjas College is one of the oldest colleges in India. It is one of the top colleges in the country and Delhi University. It is situated at North Campus, where all top colleges of DU are there, SRCC, Hindu, St Stephens, Hansraj, Miranda House, Kirori Mal, etc. North Campus is a very different environment for students. Ramjas is a very good college. The Faculty is topmost, no one is below a Ph.D. holder. We have one of the best faculties in the whole University. The crowd of the college is the best, students from all parts of the country are there, there is so much diversity. We have students from outside of India as well. After every 4/5 to months, there are semester exams. 90 marks theory exam is there, you can pass very easily, not a big deal to pass. We also have internals along with it which consist of assignments, presentations, group activities, attendance, etc.

We need to keep up our CVs at their best. Everything depends on the CV and also how we present ourselves if we face an interview. There are a lot of companies providing internship opportunities to students in Ramjas, some are Snapdeal, Bajaj Capital, Zomato, CashKaro.com, etc. These companies provide good stipends also to the students.

Ramjas College provides a very good placement for its students in all courses. Every year the Gross Package goes on increasing. Our college conducts a lot of seminars and speaker sessions that can help students in the interview and for their CV as well. As per the 2022 report the Highest Package was 21 LPA. and the Average Package was around 6 LPA. More than 100 recruiters are there and a very good amount of offers are also released. Our recruiters include well-known MNCs: Deloitte, DE Shaw&Co, Pwc, TresVista, edwisor, Blume Global, Wipro, Byjus, and many more.

The fees of all DU colleges are very less and economical. DU is a Central University funded by the Central Government. Fees of different colleges vary. It may start from Rs.7000/Yr to 30000-35000/Yr. Fees may vary because of the placements the college offers or may be due to their infrastructure or as per the demand of the course. But the fees are very economical for all colleges of DU, not more than 30000/35000 per year. The University provides various scholarships for meritorious students of all colleges. It also provides financial assistance or aid for all economically weaker students. All students can apply for the scheme. There is a very good range of Placements of jobs and internships as well in the University across all colleges.

DU colleges are best known for their societies. Ramjas has a lot of societies: Placement Cell, Enactus(Social work), National Service Scheme(NSS), YUVA, Commerce Society, Fine Arts Society, Finance and Investment Cell, Ramjas Dance Society, Shunya- Dramatics Society, Sports, etc. Our societies are doing very well, they take part and win in most of the competitions across DU. They also go for outstation competitions. The Annual Fest of Ramjas- MOSAIC, takes place every year, it is one of the biggest fests in DU. Along with the Annual Fest, we also have department fests for all departments. Our college library is also very well equipped, all kinds of books are there. Our classrooms are very big and can accommodate a large strength of students. It also has smart class facilities. Colleges also have a couple of computer labs, which are air-conditioned and well-furnished.

NTA conducts the CUET exam it is for all Central Universities across India. You need to register for the entrance first and fill in all the required details in the CUET portal. Fill in all the courses you are interested in pursuing and all the subjects that you have studied in 12th standard. You will be allowed to give only those subjects that you have studied in your 12th standard. Fill in all necessary details and the state where you are going to give your entrance and wait for all the notifications of NTA. Check your slot when and where you are allotted the date, time, and place to give the entrance. Along with this if you are interested to get into Delhi University you are also required to register for the same in the Delhi University website portal. Fill in all the required details there also, check the eligibility for all the courses you are interested in. Most importantly always keep a check on the websites of both NTA and Delhi University for all the notifications. There is no cut-off in DU, CUET merit is taken.
