Remarks
The college should provide various sports facilities as they are taking such huge amount of money. there should be a swimming pool in the college and other indoor games also. Currently, we have a basketball court, a volleyball court and football ground which is totaly useless. A badminton court which is quite good. there is also a gym but super congested.
Entrance Preview
I took various engineering exams to get admission in good engineering colleges in India one of them was the central examination conducted by CBSE i.e. jee mains and I got a Pretty good score in that i.e. 136 and along with JEE advance, but not as much in which I could get a NIT or IIT as competition is nowadays is huge. I took other engineering entrance exams such as BITSAT, UPTU, GGSIPU, IMU.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for the course is same for all the colleges affiliated to this university. The syllabus is not so tough just we have to understand the concepts on regular basis in the class, make notes and then study few days after the exams you will able to secure a decent percentage but the thing is that what else you achieve apart from securing big figures in academics.
Internships Opportunities
Currently, college does not provide any internships. they only provide the placements and placements are quite The in the college. as per new guidelines by the AICTE now 3 The are made compulsory for engineering students so now let's see in future what happens . will college provide or not?
Placement Experience
placements are quite good as compared to other private engineering colleges even better than some nits. The placement percentage is almost 100. The average package is 3.5lpa which is offered by Infosys or Accenture. There are also various companies come which offers packages 6 lpa, 12 lpa. one of the is mu sigma or Z&s associates and much more. Army and Navy also visit the campus for recruitment.
College Events
there is not much cultural fest in out college.Techsurge & MRIDANG is the annual techno-cultural festival of MAIT. Techsurge conjures up a vivid spectrum of science and technology adding fervor and zest to our everyday lives. Having innovative and exciting competitions in myriad fields of technology and academia, Techsurge fosters in students the exuberance and zeal toy of students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
fees of the college quite high but normal as compared to other private engineering colleges. fees of this college is Rs 1,10,700/- annually and may hike for the upcoming batches. The fees are not acceptable in cash DD or NEFT are acceptable only. other than this you have to deposit RS 5000/- as a security money at the time of joining the college which is refundable after 4 years. and if you wish to avail book bank facility the again you have to deposit Rs 5000/- security money which is also refundable after 4 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does not offer any kind of scholarships to students but the university provides financial assistance to the students who are economically weak. university rolls out forms for EWS scheme once in a year in the probably in the month of October or November. and there is a special interaction of the Student Committee, and parents in the university and then according to the problem of the student the committee decides that to what extent child need assistance.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is good in the college . in B.tech there is a diffrence but in the courses such as MBA, BBA there are seen the equal gender ratio. the campus life is not as good as the other colleges like IIT's, NIT's ,DTu but yes it is somewhat good. one of the worst things is that the reservation of Delhi students which give more opportunity to them and not the student outside Delhi. so there is not much diversity in students. the labs are good excepts the instruments in the physics lab in 1st year. there are inter-university sports matches so the team is selected for games. there are various societies in which students can take part such AAYAm for dramatics , AURA for dance ,KIYARA for fashion.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities given in the hostels are limited and there are various restrictions in hostels. The hostel is very much small and it is not easily allotted to students especially to 1st-year students. either you have a contact person in college or under special circumstances. and one of the worst things is that there is only hostel for boys and not for girls. Most of the outsiders live in P.G. or flats on rent. the quality and variety in food is excellent.
Alumni/Alumna
the interaction with the seniors and the alumni s always helpful. they tell about their experience in the college and guide you on a good track so that you should not miss the opportunity which the missed out. the give the various ideas to utilise our time and instruct us that what to do to get best. college do not give opportunity to interact with them one has to find itself.
Exam Structure
the sessional exams are quite hectic as they happen day by day so you have to prepare for it in advance. The practicals are taken in a good manner but again no preparatory leave is given. The internal exams have low weightage i.e 25 out of 100 in each subject and the end term exam has 75 marks out of 100. internal practicals are of 40 marks out of 100 and external practicals are of 60 marks out of 100.
Admission
I got admission in the Institute on the basis of GGSIPU entrance exam and I secured rank 3658 in that which is a decent rank in this exam. but as I was an outside Delhi student so I struggled to get this subject in this college. In the spot round I got the admission.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is not as per my expectation (before joining the college). there are few exceptionally good teachers but few are only there for just formality. teaching is good in our college with respect to other state-funded institutes as per discussion with friends who are in different institutes.
