I chose the course because I was interested in the subject. There are five teachers and 70 students in a class. The teachers are very supportive. The term exams are held routinely and they are of moderate level.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is significantly less. The college official members inform the students about scholarships they can apply for from time to time and also help in carrying out the process. There are not many facilities providing jobs on campus but specific placements are held at times.

Campus Life

College week is held every year in February and March. The library is one of the best in the state, and every characteristic that must be present in a library is here. The classrooms are well adequate with fans and digital boards in some classrooms. Career counselling, nutrition, and mental health seminars are held very frequently.

Admission

The application process was straightforward and I had no trouble applying for it. The admission process went very smoothly. The cut-off was based on marks and several merit lists was uploaded on the website. There was no entrance test and the cut-off was based on 12th board marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

Placement Experience:

The 6th semester students are eligible for placements. The college provides very good placements around 5 Lakhs package and good jobs too. My plans after getting the degree is doing Master's and clear Ugc NET exam and become assistant professor

Teachers should be cut slack to maintain their mental health. They are not provided enough rest. The exam schedule are not at all managed properly. It is quite hectic and students fail to cope up with it

"I had also applied to Nowgong College for the same course. However, I chose ADP College because the BCA department here has a better reputation for practicals and lab facilities. Also, the location of ADP College was more convenient for my daily commute compared to others. The admission process was completely merit-based; there was no entrance exam. I applied online through the college's official portal. The eligibility criteria was to pass the 12th standard with Mathematics or Computer Science as a compulsory subject. After applying, the college released a merit list based on the 12th board percentage. Since I had scored 73%, my name appeared in the first list itself. The typical cutoff for BCA is around 55% to 60%. After the list was out, I had to visit the college for document verification and fee payment.
