Not Satisfactory

In my opinion one should not this college atleast for civil engineering branch. It is not good in terms of faculty, Facility or placement.

I gave WBJEE in which i got 12000 rank. I opted this college because i don't know much about the counseling procees and even about any college of Kolkata. One of my friend was living there in Tollygunge area so I thought to get admission in this college.

Civil Engineering is a very good course. I loved my course. It is not that easy but not that hard too. There are some core subjects on which a lot of focus is required. It is an interesting branch and one of the core branch of engineering. Yes there is a focus of research as it is an engineering branch but chance of getting a good job is very less unless one clears GATE.

No my college does not provide any internship. Placement is also very low. In my batch no one get job.

No placement i can say. Some companies come for civil engineering and all of them were for either Call centre, BPO or sales and marketing. And the maximum salary they offer is about 12000 to 14000. In my batch out of 70 one or two get placed and i don't think that they get satisfied of their job.

There are lot of events takes place in my college. Teacher's day celebration, Vishwakarma Puja celebration, Saraswati Puja celebration, Fresher's day celebration, Farewell for seniors. Cultural Fest is just awesome. Lot of things happen like game competition, Drama, Skit, Singing, Dancing, Bollywood night in which celebrities come, Band come. Its just Awesome.

The fee structure is Feasible not too much. It's approx 40,000 per semester. There is Tutition Fee Waiver For those students who are from Kolkata and can not afford the fee.The fee increases by 500 per year. Additionally 1000 per semester exam fee. One have to pay only by RTGS/NEFT.

No scholarship facility. If anyine is minority then only he can get scholarship otherwise not. One iption is there if tuition fee waiver.

Campus life is not so good as one can think of. Gendre ration is good. Extracurricular activities are there like dancing singing skit quiz games. Every year football competition is organised and cricket competition too. There is no such cultural society in the college. No ragging happens in the college. Economic status is also not too high. Most of the students are Bengali.

No hostel facility in my college. One who wanted any lodging has to search foor a flat or PG is available there. Brokers are there who will hepl yiu to search for a flat or room but they will charge one month rent as brokery so its quite expensive but there is no other option.

There is very few or very less interaction between senior and junior. No alumni meet happens is the college. So experience in terms of senio junior relation is not so good.

Yes their are two internal and one semester exam. Their is seperate exam for lab. Internal exam is of half an hour for each subject. Normaly it end in two day. No class are there after exam. Lab exam is of 3 hours where you have to perform the lab take the readings and write it on the lab exam copy. There is also a viva releated to the lab. Semester exam is very strict. You can mot dare to cheat.

I got admission through WBJEE. There is a online counselling where one can give their preference of college as well as the branch. They will get college according to their rank. After getting college they can go for provisional admission in any of the admission centers listed on the given date.

Truly speaking most of the faculties are not good but some are very good. There are one on two faculty who speaks in English otherwise everyone speaks in Bengali. Lab is hopeless that is what i can say about my college. Complaint about any teacher to the principle will not work. You will start ignoring class.
