Electronics and Computer Engineering is a good blend of the Electronics and IT industries. The graduates are eligible for both ECE and CSE companies. Faculty to student ratio depends on the classroom you chose usually good classes have 70:1 and in some classes the ratio does to 1:45 also. Depending on the faculty students choose. Most faculty are PhD, but some faculty might be old in teaching style and cannot be liked, no doubt College has some excellent faculties. Everyone can choose the faculties in the FFCS system. There is also a review form for students to complain about faculties. The college has 2 Mid-Sems and 1 Final Sem, The After every month there is an exam, the difficulty is moderate if you study properly.

Companies come for Associate And Software roles on campus. Core Companies also give good packages to core branches. Mass Recruiters also come. Internships are provided in 3rd year depending on the skill of the candidate to crack them not all students can get on-campus internships.

VIT Chennai and VIT Vellore have the same placement cell. Chennai Campus will get a degree the same as vit vellore. The placements are claimed 100%, There are 3 offers Super Dream, Dream and regular, So the regular package can be obtained by everyone, with avg package of 9 lakhs. The highest is 1Cr. thousands of offers were given considering the high intake offers are also high in no. and good offers from Startups to MNCs are provided. Internships are also provided during 3rd year. VIT has a dense network with alumn working everywhere which is very helpful for Job Search and pursui further studies also.

College has a Category Fees structure, fees are in 5 categories, with the lowest 2 Lakhs /yr and the highest up to 5 lakhs/yr. Fees are lower for some branches like chemical EEE, etc. There is not fee hike policy for every year. the admitted year fees are only considered for 4 years. Scholarships are provided.

Vibrance and TechnoVIT is the cultural and Technical fest, Vibrance 2023 is quite good with pro shows having amazing guests, Sonu Nigam, Shirley Setia, MJ5 Techno VIT is not that big compared to Vellore Campus but decent. TechnoViT in in Sept and Vibrance is in Feb- Mar. Library Is world-class and has a lot of books. Opportunity lies in sports and clubs depending on how talented you are, There are more clubs than you imagine and you can open your own club also. VIT Trendz Chennai is an Instagram page with thousands of followers run totally by students. The Campus life is decent.

Hostel's are available in 4,3,2 Beds Ac and Non AC ,Max hostels are of 4 Bed and 3 Bed and then 2 Bed, There are also 6 Bed but very low in number. 2 bed are hard to get in first year. you can change the roommates and room configuration by requesting the warden after 1-3 months in joining, (This is announced anywhere based on experience). Hostel Mess is operated by 2 private Catering and there vending machine and night mess also. The food is decent. Hostels are affordable, ofc 50K more for AC rooms. Hostel Fees structure might change a year and can be obtained on official website. there is 15K Caution Deposit also. College Recomend to stay in Campus rather than living outside.

VIT conducts its examination called VITEEE for the admissions of the particular year. The application form can be obtained from the official website, the application requires your personal information like address, phone no, email etc. The Exam Center has to be chosen and grades of 10th and 12th and Income slot have to be filled. The dates of the Exam are declared 12-15 weeks before every year and the last date for applications end before 2-3 weeks. Cutoff for all the branches is not specified anywhere is varies every year, rank anywhere below 15k can get you good branches in Vellore and Chennai Campus
