Likes

Discipline is maintained and all the labs and things are working properly, the teacher are generally good
Sports facilities are good with equipment available

Dislikes

The outing time is very limited and only allowed on Saturday and Sundays
Sometimes to maintain decipline they crub freedom to some extent

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science as I am much interested in coding and computer science has the most future potential hence the choice The faculty to students ratio stands at 1:9 Most of the faculty are PhD holders so it's safe to say they are qualified We have two cats and one fat exam per semester

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 445000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Not many companies visit just for internships although many companies visit for placement Hero Moto corp visited the company with 20000 stipends and many companies visit for women only internships such as texts instruments and Amazon

Placement Experience

Most students get eligible for placement from the 7th semester although it varies since some students might have a backlog of 100+ companies visited with more than 4000 offers Vit has a 100% placement record although many get mass recruited I mostly plan to start my own company so personally not dependent on campus placement but I definitely see it as a backup option

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are fixed at the start of the 4-year course hence there is no fees hike after that I personally dint get any scholarship although students with less than 1 lakh parental income get a scholarship There are many placement opportunities however internships opportunity are limited

Campus Life

The cultural fest is vibrance which happens in the month of March and is highly recommended to even attend The classes are just decent nothing very fancy Evey class has one projector Along with the green board There are mainly two fields, one basketball court, one tennis court and one swimming pool Vit tends by students' instal page

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is decent, the maintenance is given High priority although the outing time is just till 9 pm hence not good The menu is generally diverse and changes according to zo students' requests but snack is given in limited number Since I live in the hostel I don't have much information about pgs

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

The admission process involves multiple steps starting from filling out the exam form viteee which occurs annually, after that the main exam happens and depending on the result the person is allocated seats and branches, there are no reservations of any sort

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
