Likes

Mess items- the meals are fulfilling and nutritious
Faculties are really cooperative and provide with means to communicate or approach them for assistance
The campus is covered with greenery, just walking around the campus can be stress relieving

Dislikes

The hostel has 9 pm in time for boys and 7 pm in time for girls
There are two mid sem exams which can be a little frustrating

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is well arranged and planned for the systemic development of one's ability and skills. This course offers a great opportunity to learn new technologies. The faculties are well qualified - phds and research scholars to assist in lab activities.

Companies like Walmart, Adobe, Microsoft, etc. offer internship opportunities to usually 3rd-year students, although there are examples of 2nd-year students as well. The college helps us sync with the internship programs with planned courses.

Placement Experience

Much of the placements here are mass recruitments, i.e with a salary of 3 to 10 lakhs. But many companies offer amazing placements. It all depends on the CGPA, skills and overall personality of the student. And the college has opportunities to improve skills

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has a decent fee structure for a prestigious private engineering institute. There are opportunities for scholarships as well if one does excellent in the mid sem exams. Many of the students got scholarships upto 1,00,000 for scoring full in mid sem exam

Campus Life

The college takes care of the recreational needs of the students. There are two fests annually - one technical fest which is called TechoVIT and a cultural fest called Vibrance. Also, there are clubs of hundreds of different types and various sports championships

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are decently affordable, with 2-bed, 3-bed, 4-bed and 6-bed rooms with both AC and non-AC rooms in each type. There are three messes , namely veg, non veg and special. The food quality is good and hygiene is really taken care of.

Hostel Fee: INR 72500 per year

Admission

The course requires a 12th-pass student with physics, chemistry and maths as subjects. The application form is released on the website of university. It allows one to attend the viteee exam for admission to the university

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
