Course Curriculum Overview
I always have been interested in computers and technology so I wanted to learn more about it in depth. So I chose Computer Science Engineering. The teachers are all Ph.D. and they all have modern teaching method which involves CALTech which is Collaborative and Active Learning through Technology. The faculty-to-student ratio is different in every class but on average I will say 1:45. The exams were on time and it was easy to pass if you study consistently every day.
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft, Amazon, Visa, Virtusa, and many other companies have close ties with the college and provide internships to students. The stipend varies from company to company. The college lets the student get an internship in the 3rd year.
Placement Experience
After 2nd-semester students can get internships. 863 companies visited in 2022 according to VIT Bhopal website statistics. The average for every branch is 6.25 Lakhs per annum. The highest is 44 Lakhs per annum. 7462 students have been placed. I'm planning on either getting into a product-based company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is different based on your rank. There are priorities and every priority has a different fee. But usually, most can get admission with priority-I which costs 201000 per year tuition fee. There is a complete scholarship for board toppers.
Campus Life
AdVITya is the annual fest and is conducted in March and the tech fest is also a part of it. Most of the books and journals are in the library which is two-storeyed and very quiet. Every class has a projector for presentation and learning through Technology. There is a multi-purpose hall that conducts basketball, volleyball, and other sports and extracurricular activities. The football ground is also present but it is not of good quality, there is no grass. Cricket, Kabaddi, and every major sport are played here. Chess club, AI club, and many clubs are run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Different types of rooms are available. Single bedded, two bedded, three bedded, four bedded, and 6 bedded. Each type of room has a different fee. Meal quality is a very good and different type of food is available ranging from North Indian to South Indian. Register through the website which will be provided by the link in the mail. For 4 bedded room it costs 98000 for 7 months. Which means around 14000 per month.
Admission
Candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 11th and 12th standard. VITEEE entrance exam is conducted for admission and can be found on the website viteee.vit.ac.in. After the exam, you will get a rank and based on that you can opt for your choice of course in the university during counseling.
