Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course to do masters in the field of commerce which was suitable for my profile. The class size was however bit large and the faculty was not enough at times. A few of the faculty members were nicely qualified but not all of the members. The exams were timely planned however the assignments submitted were not thoroughly checked.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement post-completion of the course however I was employed before starting the course. The degree only helped me with some extensive knowledge of the commerce field. I didn't hear about many companies visiting the IGNOU campus and not more the 20% of students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of the whole course was approximately 1 lakh. However, I didn't avail myself of any scholarship. No financial assistance was taken and I got a job before completion of my course with TATA power-DDL. Fees hike is most probably not that regular.
Campus Life
Books and study materials were available from the university itself. However, there was only an orientation program and no other annual fest conducted. The classroom size wasn't suitable for the number of students admitted. No idea about sports or extracurricular activities as I never received any information regarding the same.
Admission
Eligibility of the course was a minimum of 50% in Graduation. I found the application form on IGNOU Website. The site has all the relevant details regarding the application fees and application dates. No reservation benefits were availed b me for the said course. Classroom size can be improved.
