Course Curriculum Overview
My intent after B.COM was to sit for the placements, and if I get placed in a good company, to start working. If not, to do my MBA. I wanted to start my career at a higher pay scale, which was why I opted for higher studies. There are about 30 students for every 1 faculty member. The faculties are all highly accomplished in their respective fields, but as far as a teaching method is concerned, a majority of them have good communication skills.
Placement Experience
The average package for 2022 was around 16 lakhs. The majority of the companies were from the BFSI sector. 2022 recorded 100% placements. I plan to pursue a career in finance post-MBA. The highest package was offered at 48.58 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The range of tuition fees for studying at IIMBG typically includes four courses, with the fees ranging from 9.09 lakh to 32.56 lakhs for the entire program duration, which can vary from 2-5 years. The total fee of the MBA program is 1550000.
Campus Life
The annual fest of IIM Bodh Gaya is called 'Elegante' which is conducted in January. The library is called the Learning Resource Center and there are new books issued every week. The classrooms are well-lit and air-conditioned. There are 13 committees and quite a few clubs in IIM Bodh Gaya.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are double-sharing, with two beds, two tables, and two closets in every room. There is a balcony to hang your clothes in. The meals are hygienic and healthy. We get both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The hostel allocation process was simple.
Admission
In order to be eligible for the combined admissions procedure IIM Bodh Gaya and Jammu, I had to take the Common Admission Test (CAT). The minimum acceptable score to pass IIMBG was 92%, and my overall percentile 95.
Interview Experience
The topic for my extempore was the pros and cons of social media. The interview questions were all directly related to my resume, with a few questions about current affairs. There was only a direct interview before the CAP calls were announced. The interview was quite simple and straightforward. The CAT score has a weightage of 50%, the profile has a weightage of 30%, and the interview has a weightage of 20%.
