Course Curriculum Overview

At Vellore Institute of technology, I have opted B.Tech in Computer science with a specialization in Cyber-physical systems. The faculty and student ratio is pretty well there are a lot of faculties and the quality is also pretty good.

Class Size: 540Course Fees: INR 195000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are a lot of companies around 700 companies like Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon. They provide good placements and about a project we have irrigation project. Rapid active project. AI projects for robots.

Placement Experience

Placements in Vellore Institute of technology start from the End of the third-year Average package for cs is 7.5 LPA and the highest varies from 75 LPA to 3 CGPA. It's pretty good compared to other colleges and is good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure of the college is category wise There are a total of 5 categories. The first fee is 195000. 2.295000. 3.350000 4.400000 and the final fifth is 495000. They do provide scholarships for 1000 ranks.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is pretty good they have a lot of events going on throughout the year like vibrance. Amenities are also good there is a swimming pool one handball ground one Cricket ground a total of 4 hostel blocks.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are also good there are a total of 2 mess companies and 3 mess types One Special Two Nonveg Three Veg. In special, There are two types of food Nonveg and veg both are available in nonveg both veg and nonveg.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

1.75% eligibility criteria. 2. Application can be found on the Vit college website. 3 . No reservation benefit. 4. In the admission process website was a bit laggy. 5. I like this college very much, the mess is good.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
