There are people from all over India so you get a varied environment.
There are many Clubs and extra curricular activities to choose from
The college fests and events happen at a very big level which too much fun

Dislikes

The fees of the college is a bit too high.
As the campus is near sea the climate is very humid.
There are too many people at the campus so its a bit crowded.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I have an interest in software development. There are enough faculties for the students inside the campus. Most of the faculties are PHD qualified and some are pursuing research. The exams are almost 1 month apart from one another and the difficulty is medium.

Class Size: 540Course Fees: INR 295000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have been selected in the second category and for this category, the fee for the Computer Science core branch is 295000 rs. There is not a specific scholarship as such but with a good exam score, you can avail of the first category with less fee.

Campus Life

The name of the cultural fest is Vibrance and it is conducted in the month of march. There were many star artist in the fest. There is a seperate block for library where you can find pretty much every book you'll need in your b.tech. Classrooms are nice and airy. There are dedicated grounds for every sport which makes it pretty convenient. Currently I am in Dramatics club which conducts various plays and skits for various occasions.

Hostel Facilities

If you opt for an AC room you get an AC, fan, bunk beds, table, chairs, cupboards, etc. The mess food is mid if you belong to a northern state. The menu of the mess is pretty varied so you don't get bored. There are a few PGs in the nearby location.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

You have to be a 12th-grade pass to take admitted to this college. You can find the application online on the VITEEE website and with a few simple steps you can register for this exam. If you can score a good score in this exam you can get a low fee category.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains.
