I entered in this college by WBJEE by rank 28k............... i choose this college because my some seniors reffred me to join this college thats why i joined this particular college...... thats all!!

Here are the details of Bachelor of Computer Science (B.Tech) Course including duration, Eligibility, Admission Criteria. Duration:- 4 Years Eligibility:- Pass XII Class with Maths Admission:- Admission through Entrance Test Score Merit List or WBJEE or AIEEE.

College gives you a list of institutes from where you can do training. They provide this list in 6th semester. But we can do training in 5th as well as 6th semester. Also we can personally get intended from any institute of we don't want to Take the internship options provided by college. For b. Tech there is no internship provided to the students rather the student has to pay for internship.

The placement was way too good in 2008. The college was at boom during that time post that there was recession and then rehne placements reached its lowest. Till 2012 batch placement was not good people who were lucky got jobs but yes after studying from narula I have seen that in off campus most narula students do grab a job. Presently the placement is again rising it is trying to reach that position again with the likes of TCS, Wipro, ITC, Accenture, Huawei coming to campus. For core there are very limited companies very limited.

The college events that are organised are fresher's party which is at a big level and all the fresher's are invited along with 4th year students organising it wherein Mr and miss fresher's are elected. Another major event is college fest which takes place around December or January it is a very big event. Tech fest is also organised in this fest where robo wars and counter strike, fifa competitions are held with different colleges being invited. Already from this festivals like saraswati puja and vishwakarma puja are celebrated.

Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata offers varied programs under engineering and technology for both graduate and post graduate courses. The students enrolling here are made ethically strong and positive to handle all the situations in their career. The fee structure has been devised keeping in mind that students from all strata may enroll here. NOT GOOD NOT BAD COURSE CURRICULUM -Course is Common in all the colleges affiliated to Narula Institute Of Technology. Course Curriculum is good and covers all the aspects in the respective field of Engineering. Talking about the college, its not good as much, in respect of Placements, Sports Activities, Cultural Activities. There is lack of understanding between the teachers and the students. Its little hard to survive if you don't have tolerance power. INTERNSHIP -Yes Internship is provided in second year. Foreign Internships are also provided and In-House Internships are also their. Every semester there is an in-house training given on a particular topic. But these training are not very much helpful because these training are only for a week or 2 and we can.'t learn a particular Engineering Topic thoroughly in a week and implement that in a form of project. FEES -Fee is Paid twice in a Year. The amount of the fee is Rs. avg.40000 per Sem. The fee is feasible in context of the Course but in context of College, its expensive. Facilities are not up to the mark. College also Provides Transportation Service to students and faculties.

HOSTEL FACILITIES -Hostel facilities are not good. From what I have seen in the hostel, the rooms are decent enough. They are cleaned everyday by maids. One room accommodates 4 students and is spacious enough for 4. One important thing is that the food quality is pathetic. SImply pathetic. When I was in first year, the college canteen was still not bad enough. But the hostel food is of very poor quality. Lot of requests and letters are put in constantly by the hostel students, but authorities rarely listen. Even once in these 4 years, they actually did something and changed the food provider. But the new one that came, they also did the same thing. Food quality is very poor.

Yes they are very helpful. If you in any types trouble then they are always ready for help to you. When choosing colleges, students put a high priority on finding the best academic programs for their field of study. While this is obviously important, another factor that potential students should consider is the alumni network at each of their prospective choices. Alumni networks do more than help fund Alma Maters; they become a professional and personal community to aid graduates in advancement throughout the course of their lives. With this in mind, the university or college one chooses for undergraduate, and post-graduate work becomes more than only a place to garner an education. It is also a place to build the foundation for their future.

Exams are fine with two internal exams of 30 marks being held and 1 bittersweet exam for 70 marks. In 30 marks the best of the two is chosen so students have a chance still to do well in the subject in which they didn't score. Practicals are quite cool.

By 28k ranking in WBJEE. I cleared WB-JEE exam in the first go after class 12 in 2012. My rank was close to 28,000. It was not possible to get admission in a good college with this rank. And that time narula was considered to be one of the good colleges with more than 90% placement and good academic results as well. So I was luck enough that second counselling happened and narula extended its electronics and communication seats by 60 so I took that in counseling. There was no interview for this. The counselling took place in science city Kolkata with huge rush when you go there just be prepared with the list of colleges and courses you are interested in priority wise and ask them if it is available.

Some of the faculty members are very rude and behave in an odd manner. But the HOD of ECE department is the finest of all teachers. He is a very knowledgeable person. Some of the faculty members can't communicate properly in English, so they need to work on that.
