college is good. teachers are helping

there are food courts spread across the campus which are managed and run by KIIT hospitality and other than this there are different food junctions around the campus. so you will never starve to death even if you don't like the mess food

KIIT university conducts its own entrance test named as KIIT entrance exam (KIITEE) every year. there is no scoring system, the provide you with your rank. there is extra reservation for women candidates. I opt for KIIT because my elder brother was also studying here and he recommended this to me

this is a 4year (8semester) full-time program.out of which curriculum of first 6 semesters is decided by the university. you get to choose 3 electives in 7th semester and a few more in 8th semester( i am not sure as I am a 7th-semester student). the curriculum is good and it includes every thing which is required for being a mechanical engineer

I am not sure that if there is internship program for b.tech students because I was never interested in an in-house internship. but I am sure that college provide internship for the m.tech and p.hd student as I have seen them working in my lab as the lab assistant. I don't know about stipend

the placement rate is almost 100 percent. many companys come to the campus every year. primarily your placements start in 4th year(final year) but even in 3th many companies come for short period and long period internship with a chance of PPO( pre placement offer)

there are many events and festivals are celebrated across the university. some of the major fests are KIITfest, mechfest, Rafi nights, MBAfest, korous week etc.. then there are TEDx talks and MUNs. if you want you can spend the entire year participating in one event to other.

yes, i will call it on the expensive side. I am 2014 admission batch and my fees for 4 years is around 10 lcs. my juniors are paying more than this which is around 16 or 18 lcs for 4 years. plus you have to pay additional 1000rs for registration and 1000rs as an examination fee every semester

university gives a scholarship to some of the students who get top ranks in KIITEE. and talking of loans any you can get an education loan against your fee letter provided at the time of admission. I, myself is studying with a loan.

campus life is good and I will consider it safe for everyone. I am not sure about the gender ratio across the university but being a mechanical student there are very few girls in my department. for extracurricular activity, there are many societies under KIIT student activity center (KSAC) where you will surely find a society of your interest. if you don't get one you are free to find some people with a common interest a form a new group. the administration will support you with what ever they can

the college provides hostels on campus. you can have AC hostels, non-AC hostels. there are 3 seaters hostel and very few rooms are 2 seaters that too if you opt for AC hostels. the university provides high-speed free wifi in the hostel. mess food is better than what you will get at other places but still, it's mess food so you will get bored after 6-7 months.

there are two major exams namely mid semester and end semester and for minor exams i.e quiz test in each subject in every semester. end semester constitutes 60 marks. mid semester constitutes 25 marks. and internal 15 marks are given by subject teacher depending on your quiz, assignments and class performance

you get your KIITEE rank, then you are given a counseling schedule according to your rank. there are different branches you can choose from. it depends on your rank if you get your choice of branch or not. it is an entire day process. you will have to submit a counseling fee at that point which is about 85% refundable if you decide to not joining KIIT.

there is a separate and fixed chamber for every faculty member. they are either taking the class or sitting in their respective chambers. you can easily get there contact number if you need. if you don't find them in their chamber you can contact them and ask for a meeting. they are always ready to help
