LD College of Engineering is one of the best colleges in Gujarat, It has a huge campus, located in the heart of Ahmedabad. Management is quite good, fees payment is done online, Book issue in library through barcode from ID card.

Take admission through 60% of 12th percentage and 40% of JEE. I scored 82% in 12th standard and 87 marks in JEE Mains. L D College is one of the oldest and good government college in Gujarat and too less fee. I chose Information Technology because it is emerging field. There is no interview, only document verification process.

Course is common for all student for Gujarat Technological University, In recent years they improve syllabus as per new technologies and also improve a method of teaching, they also focus on lab work, practical assessment. But they more focus on theory concepts.

Directly college does not provide internship but from department contacts, you can get an internship in local companies. The stipend depends on the company. The stipend is not good but in an internship, you learn good practical knowledge.

Placement is very good in our college. You can say placement is the best of all the engineering colleges of the Gujarat. In our electrical department, around 50 students were placed last year. There are companies like Reliance, L&T, Adani, Torrent, GNFC, GSFC, Accenture etc companies who gives packages from 3 to 8 lacs/year.

At college so nice campus. And there is wide ground so all students can do every activity there. So many events organise at college so most people participate in events. The events are conducted by college club and university like Robocon LAA Garba, College annual fest, Tech fest etc.

This is a government college and fees is INR 1500 per annum only for boys, Girls have no fees in college there is only exam fees for girls. Exam fee depends on no of subjects, for one subject around 125 Rs. OBC and S.C/S.T category students apply for the scholarship. No need of a loan for such a small fees.

The loan is not needed because fees are nominal. Scholarship for Student provided by the government of Gujarat. The yearly amount of 15,000 Rs to 35,000 Rs its depend on expenses. For Sc/St/Obc student full fees return plus 5,000 Rs yearly scholarship by government of Gujarat. ST category students are eligible for food bill of 9,000 Rs per annum. Amounts may vary by Governments current Rules And Regulation.

Laboratories: Each department has modern, fully equipped laboratories for U.G and P.G programmes. Most of the laboratories are recognised for testing and standardization by various organizations. Canteen: Canteen facility is available in the campus for the students and staff members. An entrée of delectable cuisines is provided at pocket-friendly prices. Sports: The institute team has constantly dominated the inter-college sports meet and is a force to reckon with. LDCE is perhaps the only college that had the foresight of Lawn Tennis is one of the most progressive sport. Sports playing in college are Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football, Badminton etc.

The institute has hostel facilities to provide accommodation for 787 students. There are four messes in the hostel campus, which are managed by students themselves. Many newspapers and magazines are subscribed by the hostel library. Entertainment facilities like TV room, badminton room, gymnasium are also available in hostel. Outdoor and indoor games are also provided for the hostilites. University health centre has extended its services to the students of our hostel. The hostel is administered by the rector and four wardens. New E.PABX system is installed with 80 telephones for better communications.

LDCE Alumni Association (LAA) It was established in 1996 with an aim to promote fellowship among alumni, exchange ideas, spread knowledge, stimulate thinking and help L.D. College of Engineering to provide excellence in the field of Engineering.

Exams conduct as per Gujarat Technological University norms. There are two theory exams, one is mid term exam which is conduct by college and other is a final exam, conduct by the university. There is also practical exam and viva which is conduct by the college.

For getting admission in this any engineering college of Gujarat there is online process through ACPC. You have to buy booklet when the notification came. Get booklet and PIN from Punjab National Bank for register online.

This is government college so they transfer faculties from one college to other colleges and so some problem about getting new faculty. In the first year of engineering, some subjects teaching by students who pursuing Masters in college this is not so good but it is okay in the first year. Permanent faculties are the knowledgeable and good teacher.
