Remarks

In my point of view, the private educational institutions are not bad. As the number of seats in the government institutions is limited and everybody has a dream to go for higher studies which they can achieve from the private institutions. But the private institutions should not take the education system like a business. They shouldn't concentrate on the mass production system, they should have concentrated on the quality of education and should try to decrease the number of unemployment.

Entrance Preview

I took the standard JEE exam and scored something about 150 marks. I opted for computer engg. because i have always wanted to be a game designer and for my goals, Comp. Engg. was sensible and available.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Key elements of an assessment plan include: Objectives/Student Learning Outcomes These should be specific, measurable, student-oriented, and related to the unit's mission. For more information about objectives and outcomes, see http://assessment.uconn.edu/primer/goals1.html Methods Ideally, the plan will include a variety of measures, including both qualitative and quantitative assessments. These measures should be well aligned with the objectives of the curriculum and it should be clear what type of performance would indicate that students are meeting the stated objectives. Walvoord's (2004) "no frills assessment" plan suggests one direct measure and one indirect measure. Results Any results should be clearly described and related to the objectives and stated criteria for success. Use of the Results The plan should discuss how the assessment results will be used and disseminated (including whether faculty, administrators, students and/or other stakeholders will have access and in what ways the information would be available).

Internships Opportunities

Take as long as you like to find the right internship, but remember that it’s how you perform in the job that counts. Dress professionally, show up on time, and willingly accept any assignment given to you. Consider meeting with your supervisor to set some goals for your experience, and always do your best work. Once your internship is complete, thank your mentors and be sure to remain in touch going forward.

Fees and Financial Aid

areful planning is both necessary and wise. You will be required to prove to the university, to the consular officer (the person at the U.S. Consulate who issues visa stamps), and perhaps to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection that you have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses (housing, food, clothing, etc) and health insurance, as well as university's tuition and fees. MIT is a very good college for foodies. We don't have KFC or McDonald's and yet, You will be happy :) MIT is a very good college for those who have imagined their college life with 'someone' special. There are chances that you might get that 'someone' here. But, there is an IF.

It's above average!! The conversation which I have had about mess food with couple of my friends who are from different colleges has brought me to the conclusion that mess food served in MITis much better than other colleges!!! Special mess is pretty good!!!

Alumni/Alumna

The college experience doesn’t have to end with your diploma. Though the beer pong tournaments have ceased (well, sorta) college grads continue to shape their school’s reputation through career success, fame and mentorships.

Admission

Not all college admissions factors are connected to an applicant’s record. When a student applies — Priority Admission, Early Action, Early Decision 1, Early Decision 2, Regular Decision, or Rolling Admission — can impact admission. Finances — some schools consider a student’s need for financial aid while others are so-called “need blind” — can also factor in. Overall trends in admissions as well as an individual school’s particular demographics and institutional priorities also impact the process. While some of the above elements are beyond an applicant’s control, a shrewd candidate will consider them all in an application strategy. In fact, a successful application process involves much more than just deadlines and essays. It’s about understanding all of the mitigating factors and then planning, strategizing, and knowing which schools and application pools will maximize your chances for acceptance.

GRADING IS NOT THE SAME AS ASSESSING Because in-course assessment techniques are designed to gauge the effectiveness of the teaching and the quality of the learning taking place (and not simply to see who is or isn’t studying), they are usually anonymous. These anonymous assignments typically can be completed quickly, and focus on three areas: students’ academic skills and intellectual development (e.g., do students have sufficient background knowledge or academic skills to move onto the next topic?) students’ assessments of their own learning skills (e.g., do students feel prepared to learn new material from the textbook, without classroom review?) students' reactions to various teaching methods, materials, and assignments (e.g., do students believe the exams fairly cover the material stressed in class?).
