The best B School in Eastern India

I have only good vibes for my alma mater. The two years of my MBA life was the best two years of my life. It gave me exposure, confidence, learning and a huge amount of good friends.

CAT, 81.9 percentile It has The Best faculties, State of the art infrastructure, a fantastic library with great collection of books and best in class Industry connect.

The course curriculum is at par with the IIMs. The academic council assesses the subjects every year & add / subtract subjects which are in demand in the market. The college also consults with the industry experts while taking any decision in subject change.

The college provides OJT also known as On the Job Training. Companies from Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, automobile, Services come to take students for the summer internship. The internship amount depends on the organization. It varies company to company.

KiiT School of Management holds an excellent record in placing the students for the final placement. As far as I recall, KSoM has provided close to 100% of placement every year. IT, manufacturing, HR firms, Banks, FMCG are the few sectors which recruit in bulk at KSoM.

There are N number of events. These are primarily driven by the in-house clubs, like Marketing, finance, operation, cultural etc. Also there is a separate annual cultural festival call Kolosseum which is one of the famous event of KSoM where participants comes from other b schools across the country

The fee structure is feasible. If we see the infrastructure, faculties, exposure then fee is absolutely fine. The college has also tie-ups with banks which provides hassle-free loans to the students with easy EMI options. The fees are ideally split into four equal parts which are payable at the start of every semester.

I haven't availed any loan from the college. But there is scholarship as far I am aware. Also college provides free education to the students who are coming from tribal areas of Odisha & can't afford any money for education.

The college holds approximately 60:40 gender ratio where 60% is male & 40% is female. The college has different student driven clubs like Matrix (marketing club), Exchequer (Finance Club), Opsession (Operation club), First cut - the media club of KSoM, NSS - National Service Scheme wing & so on. There are 2-3 events happens in every month conducted by these clubs.

The hostel is very good with 24*7 wifi connectivity, Hot & cold water facility & a 360° CCTV surveillance. The mess is unfortunately best. There is a message committee which consists of student representative, food suppliers, administrative representative & one faculty. The menu is decided by this committee.

The KiiT University as well as KSoM holds alumni association committee. Alumni meetings happen every year at different cities of India. The alumni meeting which held at different cities are primarily conducted by KiiT University alumni association. The KSoM alumni association sends mails, updates, job openings thru mails.

There are TWO semesters in each year, total four semesters in entire two years. Every semester consist of a mid term exam. Also there are continuous evaluations like class participation, assignments, presentations, research work etc. The process is undoubtedly rigorous.

Applied through online portal, then got call for GD & PI. GD topic was on current affairs, PI was little tricky as they were checking how much pressure I can take, what was my mindset for MBA, my academic career, interest and so on. It took almost 30 minutes to complete the entire PI process.

KiiT School of Management has the best in class faculties. Almost 30-35% of the faculties are from IIMs. Followed by Xaviers & other premium institute. Many of the professors are holding PhD degree while others are pursuing PhD. The faculties also has extensive industry expertise
