Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course due to my pre-existing background in AI and ML and also considering the future scope of the department in technology. The student-to-professor ratio is pretty well balanced; a single professor might have multiple or single batches in a semester depending on the subjects and each batch has a maximum of 70 students. The professors in this college are highly reputed for being highly qualified. Every professor is highly research-oriented and they keenly focus on practical learning along with the theory sessions in every subject. We are provided an academic calendar well before the start of every semester and it is followed to the date. The exams are conducted on the same days as mentioned in the calendar (the subjects depend on the student's own slots). We were taught enough and provided with plenty materials to study and as long as one is thorough with what their professor suggests, it is relatively easy to score a good average.

Internships Opportunities

4

Several companies offer internship offers based on your credentials as a student. There are several opportunities to work on research or review papers with a professor you're learning from or are interested to work with. When it comes to learning, you never said no this campus. The start-up culture here should also be applauded as the students are encouraged to think from a start-up perspective and are helped with it thoroughly.

Placement Experience

4.5

From what I am aware placements happen in 4th year. Over 100 companies visit the campus and more than 90% of the students who take part in placements are placed in wonderful companies with stable packages. The average package for B-Tech students in 2022 was 8 Lacks per annum whereas the highest package offered to a student was 75 lacs per annum (Microsoft). I personally plan on getting a master's degree in my current field of AI and ML after my graduation before going for a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are different fee categories in every course offered depending on the rank that you achieve in the VITEEE entrance test. The categories range from as low as 2 Lacks per year to 7 Lacs per year (not including any other fee). During the counselling, hence it becomes crucial to make the right choices in the choice filling to avoid paying high fees.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest called Vibrance is conducted around the end of February to the first week of March. It is a 3 day classy event with weeks of pre-events. The technical fest is called TECHNOVIT and it is held in September. Several other small events, workshops and functions are celebrated by the college as well as the clubs and chapters throughout the year. The Central Library which is a lavish 3-floor separate building has abundant books and journals which are always organised and easily accessible and can be borrowed with easy steps. There is also an e-library which expands the availability of books. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and speakers which the professors most often make use of during lectures. Sports and extracurriculars are given great exposure in college. There are professional teams who compete at the state and nationally in several sports and co-curricular. The VITC Instagram page is a platform to get familiar with the college and can also find the other groups

Admission

The admission process is completely based upon the marks scored in the VITEEE entrance exam. The eligibility criteria is aquiring 60%+ marks in Physics, Chemistry or Math/Biology in respective 10+2 examinations. The application forms can be found in the VITEEE website where all communication with the college happens before enrollment into the college. The application fee is INR. 1350 (including GST) and the application dates can be found on the website. There is no reservation benefits in this college and students are given seats only based on their ranks in the entrance examination. The admission process itself was extremely smooth we just have to make sure to provide the right credentials and be updated on all the information on the website as well as on the email that we register using.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
