- SRCC just the name does not give you success, it can only give you the opportunities. It is you who have to grab those opportunities.
- People assume that SRites are academic snobs but that's not the truth.
- SRCC is too overhyped in terms of its annual fest CROSSROADS.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is B.Com hons and every semester there are 4-5 subjects. Since I am doing CA also alongside and the course of Bcom hons is in line with CA course, that's why I choose B.Com hons. The faculty in the college is good and they possess a good amount of knowledge. Even their teaching method is quite good and helps the students to get deep knowledge of the topic. Most of the teachers have done Ph.D. in their respective subjects. Exams are conducted every semester which means after every six months and the level of difficulty is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
There are many summer internship opportunities available for a B.Com hons. student from SRCC 1st year. Some companies that commonly offer internships in this field include consulting firms, financial institutions, and large corporations. Some specific companies that have offered internships in the past include Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, ICICI Bank, SBI, and many more.
Placement Experience
The placement cell placed almost 80-90% of students who apply for placements. The highest salary package offered this year is 35LPA and the average is 13.25LPA. Top companies participated in the recruitment process are Microsoft, Delloite, KPMG, EY, PWC, GT, BDO, BCG, HUL, HCL, American express, JP Morgan, JSW. The college also conduct Articleships drives for students who want to join Articleships firm for persuing CA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is highest at Delhi University for B.Com Hons course. Despite being the highest, it's still 30000 per annum. For accommodation, you can either stay in a PG or a Hostel. For the hostel, you again have to clear a certain cutoff. Various kinds of scholarships are provided to various students on satisfying certain conditions that may be related to grades or maintaining a certain level of attendance. Further that are various internship opportunities that come to you.
Campus Life
The college life at SRCC is very amazing. There are 30-25 registered societies in our college from finance to fine arts that provide opportunities for students to polish their hobbies to interests. Further, the college also conducts its largest fest in DU named CROSSROADS with a budget of 2-3 crore. The college has a very well-maintained library and the classrooms are fully maintained and well furnished. The college has also its sports society and sports complex and swimming pool.
Admission
During my time, admission was given based on a cutoff given by the college based on the 12th percentile. However, now the days CUET exam is conducted based on which cutoffs are provided by colleges. You can fill out the application form on the website of Delhi University and the dates are after the result. I availed the benefit of the EWS category reservation. During my time the 1st cutoff of our college was 99% for general, however, it was 98% for the EWS category.
