What Students Say
Likes
- I loved the exposure that the college gave me. I feared public speaking but after being involved with social service, i'm a public speaker now.
- Faculties are amazing and extremely friendly if you are bold enough to go up there and raise your voice for the issues you are facing.
- Centralised placements occur for all the Techno India Group colleges and thus there are a wholesome amount of companies that come to hire.
Dislikes
- Administration turns blind eye sometimes to the issues faced by students and thus strikes are common.
- Attendance is supposed to be 80% otherwise you aren't allowed to sit for semester exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ECE because I was always passionate about studying the communication sector along with electrical instruments. Faculty to student ratio is roughly 20:1 which is pretty good. Most of the faculties hold a Phd degree and are pretty qualified Exams were difficult but not so much for people who would follow regular classes and take notes.
Placement Experience
During the 6th semester onwards, there are courses lined up for campus placement interviews which give the students enough light to know what they would be facing in the coming years. There are amazing companies that come for placements and if you are confident enough about your skills assure you'll get hired. Even if you do not sit for campus placements or do not succeed in getting a job on-campus, you can sit for off-campus placements and college will help you with those awell.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee has been the same throughout my years of study. Private college fees are generally pretty high but according to me, Techno India University increases their fees for every new admission. There are no scholarships present and fees had to be paid before the semester exams otherwise students aren't allowed to sit for the exams.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty good i would say. We have a swimming pool, a huge football/cricket field and also basketball court. Students here are involved in various extra curricular activities including social servuce, tech fests, cultural events and so on. Around the whole yera, there are different activities lined up where students can participate to widen their knowledge.
Admission
There was an admission test that I had to sit for and based on the scores they choose. I found the advertisement in a local newspaper and contacted the college for admissions but now you can get the form on their website. There are no reservation criteria.
