Awesome days at SRM

SRM University kattankulathur. Is one of the best college to gain knowledge and meet a lot of people from all over India. We get a great exposure and experience.

SRMEEE was the entrance exam which I faced. I wasn't aware of the marks which I scored but I got ranked between 4000-5000 (not sure sorry). I took Mechanical Engineering department as I had a craze on Mechanical components and it's working. The interview process was actually simple. They got my basic information and considered me as a valid student to study at SRM

Almost all forms of engineering are available at SRM. I personally felt that Mechanical Engineering department is my field. As my field of interest is Mechanical Engineering. In Mechanical Engineering, SRM is one of the best college to provide a vast possibility for students to do research and learn.

Internships are actually provided but I am not yet aware of it. I will be going for internships from next semester. So I can't actually provide you details in this aspect. I will update once I come to know about this.

I was informed that our college is one of the best place for campus placements. It has a record for placing more than 5000 students in a year. Average offer for students is around 4 lac per year. Students with enough capabilities have been placed up to 12lac per annum according to my knowledge.

Aaruush is the national level technical fest which takes place in the month of September which is for all departments. It is a national level recognized and reputed event as various workshops are Available for various departments. Milan is the cultural fest which takes part in February. It is completely cultural which helps students in bringing out their extra curricular activities. Apart from these important national level fests. There are 20+ inter college fests in our college.

Fee structure is a bit expensive when compared to some Anna University afflicted colleges. Were as if compared to other universities it is a lot feasible. Fee structure is like 1.75 lacs per year (if under counseling) And 3.5 lacs (if under management quota)

I have heard that our college provides scholarship programs and loan facility for students. But I am not aware of it. I will update you as soon as I come to know about it

Best campus life in south India as far as my knowledge. In Computer science engineering the gender ratio is 75:25 of girls to boys.. And in Mechanical Engineering it's 2:98 of girls to boys ratio. There are 30+ student teams which are financially supported by our college. It has a wide diversity of students. There is no raggings. There is no regards to any sort of religion, caste, etc..

Best for the price range. U can't expect more for the price. Vast variety of hostels are available. Like from international hostels (one per room) to feasible (8per room) international hostel of one per room is 4.5 lacs per year and feasible non AC non attached 3sharing room is 98k per year. (Both are inclusive of mess, laundry)

Senior students are really affectionate and provide a lot of knowledge which they gained to make us improve our knowledge. College actually helps us in having a good relationship with our alumni and senior students.

We have three laboratories in a week. And theory classes are like for half day for a maximum of 5 hrs. Exams are like 2 cycle tests. Which adds up to your internals. External is your end semester examination. Marks split up is like 50 for internals and 50 for external.

I got the call letter for counselling through my personal email. I took my call letter along with my rank card and mark sheet of my 12th standard. The administration was a bit candidates friendly. Candidates like me were actually invited in a prestigious manner.

Most of the faculties at SRM are well experienced in their respective fields. They have a huge interest in bringing up students to their level. They actually take lots of efforts to make students understand the base or concept. They are well qualified for the job. They actually invite ideas from students and enhance their ideas so that students can make their own research and prove themselves in front of society.
