Course Curriculum Overview

I have completed class 10th with good grades in maths so I think engineering is the option for me that's why I choose this course. The qualification of the faculty is a Master of Technology (M-tech). The semester exams were taken between 6 months.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Talents Pvt Ltd and Amazon are coming to our college and offering me the role of architecture designer of buildings or structures. We have gotten an internship opportunity in NF RAILWAY as construction visitors.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campusing and placement. Companies like talents pvt. ltd, Amazon, JD Ramky, etc visited our college. Around 70% of students get placement after this course. I will take admitted to the Bachelor of Technology after this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per semester are around 750 rupees. But sometimes they take it on a yearly basis as 1500 rupees per year. We got the Swami Vivekananda scholarship, MI scholarship, etc. I got a job of 3Lpa in a respected company.

Campus Life

The annual fest is named annual fest with no change in name and it is held in June or July month. All books from all departments are available in the library. Our college website is:- www.sgpolytechnic.org which is in hands of the college.

Admission

The student will be eligible after class 10th for this course. The application form is published on the official website:- www.webscte.nic.in The application fee is 500rs. The application date varies between January to March.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Placement Experience:

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Overall a good college with best placement

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for campusing. Badve autotech pvt ltd. A1 fence products pvt. Ltd. Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

Oky so I applied for many colleges in the counselling time but those colleges were very far from my hometown and Siliguri government polytechnic college comes at top 10 colleges for this diploma course and Also I came on a merit basis My 10th marks were asked and they gave me a rank and then I had to go for counseling and admission process for which I came to Siliguri made my admission. Also there's one thing that in the admission time it was written that we have hostel in our college but when we visited physically they said they don't have hostel. You have to qualify the Secondary examination from any recognized board with 35%. You have to score 30% in Maths, Science and English.
