Great college

It's a great college overall that makes one capable of coming out in the market and leaving a mark.

Aieee examination all India quota that is there for students other than from Tamil Nadu. This was an all India level examination

Course structure was Good and relevant , resulting in good placements and great college atmosphere. There was freedom for people to think and experiment. Though the infrastructure was not great to support crazy inventions, it was average enough to let people try their hearts out.

No internship was provided as far as I can recall a this point. Hence we are not talking about stipend also.

Very good in the placement area. Almost every soul in the campus got placed. The companies where the masses got placed, and which were not considered great on the campus are actually big players in the market, the likes of Tata consultancy services, Infosys limited etc

Many technical events are celebrated, one per stream or sometimes one for few streams combined. Students organize the events completely and they have all been popular and successful so far. As part of these technical symposiums student got a lot of exposure talking to and bringing in sponsors, interacting with big firms and students of other colleges.

Being a semi govt college, fees are really low compared to other colleges which makes it an ideal choice for students from rural or middle class background. This was a great advantage for students who were good at studies but belonged to poor families or were from rural background but dream bigger.

Not sure on this area, never tried for any, nor did see any friend try for it. But since the fees are really low and stay is cheap too, no one actually bothers.

This department is weak in this college, was weak at least when I was there. Being a semi govt college not much was spent on infrastructure. Hostel rooms were not great, food was bad. The toilets were not great, the diploma hostel was in a deplorable condition, looked like it could collapse anytime, not sure how it survived heavy rains or earthquakes.

Alumni networks are there but people mostly connect off the actual official networks, mostly through social media etc

Examination structure is probably not the best, but It's good and properly controlled without any leakages, there is a controller of examination whose sole job is to arrange and oversee examination process. The job gets done on an average level and it easily lacks the way to distinguish between an average and a great student.

Through aieee all India entrance quota for students other than from Tamil Nadu. This was an all India examination and had few seats allocated through all India quota for students coming from few pockets of the country like the North Eastern states where there is lack of enough institutions

Most of the faculty members were average except for few who were good which is rightly justified too as no good student who gets placed in MNC wants to sit back and join faculty. I hear many have left the college now. But they were supportive and understanding. They were also encouraging to the students who wanted to experiment beyond the average.
