Getting admission on the basis of JEE ranks and by filling University forms (I.k Gujral Punjab Technical University)

1st year is common engineering for all streams then particular streams have their subjects with practical classes so to enhance one skills. There are practical classes for the subjects to have a better knowledge Last year you have choices of subjects for the field you have interest in because 2nd and 3rd semester where the subject which are crucial

College helps you to find internships based on the interest you have in your field and local company takes students for internships with stipend of 10000 . some companies provide stipend while some don't.

Hiring process starts from mid August and around 100 companies all across India visits in college for hiring of students from different fields. Companies like Wipro, Capgemini,Microsoft ,CTS ,tech Mahindra and many more visit campus for recruiting and highest package offered was 23 lakh approx and min. Package of 3 to 4 lakhs.

Every year annual college fest held in the college grounds where students from different colleges compete for the prizes and some famous personalities are invited at the event such as diljit, badshah and many more Cultural fest held on every eve according to day's importance and technical fest are organised by different students from different streams and even inter college fest also held .

Fee structure of college is around 86000 p.a and hostel facility is different according to the rooms (whether 2 or 3 person occupied) which include all 3 time meal and snack time with tea just after college day is completed. Other expenses included for buses if you are coming from near by cities bus facility is available in different nearby cities and with charges

College has scholarship program me for minority people who are from different categories.All the students have to fill the forms with their proof.

In my stream there are about 300 students from which around 120 are girls rest boys . College conduct various fest and competitions for different fields and annual sports meet ,annual fest of college and various sessions of activities according to festive. My college has students from across nation.

I have stayed myself in hostel for 3 years and the experience of hostel is just unforgettable.Room sharing is for 2 and 3 persons each and daily cleaning of rooms in morning by staff of hostel.Mess food is like Buffet with rice,chapatti 2 different vegetables and a sweet dish in dinner though all time meal quality is good.

College gives you every opportunity to interact with your seniors by conducting fests for particular fields

Semester system is of 6 months which includes practical and theoretical tests for that particular semester but before the finals there are sessionals which held for 3 times in between semester and marks of those best 2 sessionals are counted which helps in finals for the grades.

College teachers are qualified and have good knowledge about their subjects mostly teachers are post graduate from different universities. Overall commands on subjects by the teachers helps students to understand and have a good knowledge of the subject
