IIM BodhGaya: Review

Eligibility Criteria is to have a bachelor's degree with 50% or more aggregate marks(45% for SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent CGPA. The entrance exam is CAT so that is the application form and all other details will be present on the CAT website once shortlisted you will receive a mail for a CAP interview as IIM Bodh Gaya doesn't separately conduct its interviews. Further communication like waitlist movement is done on the college website.

I didnt want to work in the engineering field so decide to do an MBA for a management role. The Exams are conducted every 40 days and it is not at all difficult to pass as you are judged not only on your exam scores but your overall progress including your participation, quizzes and projects. There is one faculty for a class of around 85.

BNY Mellon, Morgan Stanley, IBY, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak, Union Bank, Jindal, crompton greaves, V Guard, ultra-tech, and Dalmia are just some of the companies which visited IIM Bodhgaya. here were stipends of up to 1 lakh/month. I am currently doing my internship at Georg Fischer.

There is a 100% placement at IIM Bodh Gaya. The BFSI sector dominated with most offers. Nearly 70 companies made job offers with 16 lakh being the average package and 48 lakhs being the highest CTC achieved.

With the new campus coming up and better facilities the fees have been hiked a bit for the upcoming batches but it seems reasonable with the facilities and environment provided and created. Students can avail of scholarships in fees if they are eligible.

The annual fest ELEGANTE is conducted in December which is a 3 day cultural and sports event. The E-cell also conducts an entrepreneurship summit which was conducted in March this year. We have a wide range of books offline but also have access to various journals, magazines, and software through our ids. There are in total 12 committees and 14 clubs in the college which are all run by students.

There is a monthly mess menu which is changed accordingly each month with the feedback received. The food quality is good with a taste of different cuisines. The current rooms are double occupied with tables, chairs and proper lighting provided for each occupant. The new hostels which will be ready by June 2023 are single-occupancy and even air-conditioned.

As my interview happened online there was no GD. The interview questions were more around my profile and what I told them about me including my internships, interests and hobbies. There were also questions about my graduation. I took mock interviews for preparation.
