Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum and faculties are really nice, also getting high marks is not a high priority higher percentile is more important. So there is a competitive environment. You will have to give lots of presentations on almost all the subjects. You need to have a decent laptop because every thing is through it, you are barely asked to write anything.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies came for an internship so they seem to be fine I guess and not many research projects 2-3 from the government of Bihar are going on let's see what happens in the coming years but it's still growing at a high pace.
Placement Experience
Placements are really nice here the average package is around 16 lpa which makes it almost 100% ROI institute which is pretty good considering other non-IIM B-schools. But obviously, you need to work for yourself and improve your resume and profile. If you don't that being placed will be hard anywhere. We do have 100% placements here as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
IIM Bodhgaya being one of IIM will have to follow the normal trends of being an expensive IIM and scholarships provided to only reserved people and people who display low income although this is true everywhere in India.
Campus Life
The main campus is almost ready but our sport, IT and the cult committee do events on a regular basis. The library at present is small but there is a decent library. Also, committees and clubs are the nerve system of IIM BG and I think being in them is a must for every member.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel as of now is non-ac and double sharing but we are promised that we will get Ac single-sharing ones since the new hostel is ready let's see when that thing is implemented because it keeps on getting delayed.
Admission
I gave CAT an interview to get into IIM Bodhgaya. The cutoff for IIM Bodhgaya for a GEM is 92+ percentile but in general, you need 95+ to be on the safe side. The admission process is managed by the Admission Committee of IIM Bodhgaya, they did a good job there. It did take a whole day to complete all the registration, hostel allotment etc but it's fine since so many verifications were required.
