college days are back

College is nice and is coming up in Gurgaon as leader in education. I think there is a need for better confidence in industry for Gurgaon based Amity university. More companies should visit the campus and give opportunities to students in better roles in their company.

I took MAT, I scored 650+, 86 percentile, I opted the college for its ranking and it was near to Gurgaon where I stay.

Course curriculum covers all aspects of management in first semester which is common for all streams, from second semester specialization starts and in third semester internship and placements starts, in fourth semester one can opt for study abroad program. Finally one will get degree if 6.0 or above is scored.

College assists in getting internship in companies that approach college for placements. the stipend start from 5,000 and so on.

Placement is nice and job opportunities are ample. Since, nearby Manesar is a industrial area companies from the region approach for placements. Manesar has several companies ranging from MNCs to national level companies, the package range from 4 to 10 lacs and go up for some exceptional students as well.

Sangathan is the event for participating in sports related, there is innovation day where culture activities are done. There is tech fest which is done every year. There are many events also going like workshops and many debates round the year. Since there are many streams in Amity university each Amity school has its own activity going on round the year.

Fee structure is nominal. Fees for semester is around 1.85 lacs and hostel fees for 1 year is around 65000. There are also security amount to be paid initially. The fee relative to other management schools is less and loans can be easily availed from almost any bank in India as Amity is a well known institute.

Scholarship is offered for students, one who has scored 700 in MAT they offer 20% scholarship. They also offer scholarship to people who have scored 93% and above score in 12th class.

Campus life is great. Gender ratio is above average there are girls students from very corner of the country and females are almost same as the male. Extracurricular activities are all the time going on round the year, labs are well equipped, may research papers are published every years in many national and international journals.

Hostel facilities are clean, and well maintained. Mess food is little expensive as there are outside caterers serving the food there many canteens where one can eat. There is cafe coffee day as well on the campus. There is juice point where one can have drinks of their choice.

There are many alumni in various MNCs around the world, they are also help in campus placements by sending them to our institute.

Exam structure is a spread across semester with mid term exams and final term exams. Mid term exams are carried out in the middle of semester which decides 30% marks and end semester exams covers 70% marks. Based on assessments in exams SGPA and CGPA is calculated.

I had to undergo a GD and interview to get admission. I got selected after the process of GD and interview. I had to undergo GD round with 10-12 students with topic being 'Does playing National anthem in cinema hall are acceptable practice?' i supported the idea for I like nationalistic thinking being inspired in everyone in some way or the other. I later had interview which had few common questions like tell about myself, why i want to pursue MBA, and what Amity will have if i pass after I pass out. I cleared all the rounds and got finally selected.

Faculty is nice, they groom the students and guide them accordingly. they do the teaching to level best and try to make the concept as clear as possible with examples. They ask to cover the cover the topics through presentations and case studies. There are many opportunities to clear doubts and get clarity with as many questions one can. The faculty is cooperative and consider the student as fresh starter and keep the explanation as simple as possible.
