Great Experience

I spent my 7 years in SLIET and those were the best days of my life.

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology (SLIET) has conducted its own entrance test called SET. I did not do any coaching for SET.

Course curriculum is very detailed and effective. It covers all the basis and important topics that helps in the real time jobs. As now I am working for a large enterprise the topics,course I studied in college helps me alot to achieves my targets.

No I think SLIET (my college) does not provide any type of internship so no comments on general stipend.

Placement and job opportunities are very huge in the college. In my class of 60 students about 50-55 were placed in the best companies. TCS only hire about 30 students from my class. Other than TCS companies like Infosys,Hewitt Associates,Tech Mahindra,L&T etc come to the campus.

My college hold approx three major events in a year. One is called Tech Fest held in Sep-Oct every year. It is a technical cum cultural event of one long week. In the event various technical exhibitions along with the technical quiz and papers are presented. Last two days are for cultural events. Many colleges and universities participated in these events.

Fee structure is very feasible in SLIET. As it is a govt of India owned college fees is very nominal. One have to pay admission fees once at the time of admission and then semester fees at the start of every semester. Admission fees is approx. 50K and semester fees is 25K only.

No being a govt of india owned college there is no such special facility. However all the education loans and other scholarships as initiated by GOI applicable for the admission in SLIET.

SLIET has a very peaceful campus away from the busy streets of the town. It has a nice gender ratio with the full supportive students and faculty members. SLIET is in 450 acers in area having almost all the facilities required in a college. It has its own post office,bank,swimming pool,gym,football ground,parks,canteens and many more .

SLIET has 10 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel. SLIET is a city in itself. Hostel facility is very good. It provides mess and canteen facility inside the hostel along with the security and parking area for two wheeler. Each hostel is WIFI enabled and having

Being an alumni member I can say all the pass outs are very helpful to the currents students. Any student can contact for any kind of help to any of the alumni members.

Faculty of the college is highly qualified and experienced. Being a computer science student I found that faculty at computer science department is very experienced with excellent teaching skills and having a huge knowledge base to share with the students
