College management do not allow students to enjoy anything apart from study. Only 2 cultural events are allowed by the college to celebrate other days like mismatch day, rose day, etc are not allowed.

I appeared for CET, JEE examinations. I took admission in TKIET because it was a very well known college with respectable teaching faculty. It was founded 30 years ago and still holds its standard of education competing with new colleges.

The course covered majority of basic knowledge that is unavoidable if we want to enter into research field. This included knowledge of basic programming languages, basic networking protocols and numerous other concepts. It was carefully designed course with each semester focusing on one programming language with first year focusing on basic subjects of almost every other engineering fields including chemical, mechanical, civil, electronics. So that if we want we could change the field of work anytime.

No college does not provide internships as they are not mandatory by the university. If you want to take an internship students have to do it on their own. But staff helps the students by providing the contacts of the companies that could provide internships.

Placement and job opportunities are very high in this college. They bring in more than fifty companies for the last year students. The students are trained for these interviews by professionals. And a lot of students get placed through campus interviews. The salary ranges from one lakh rupees per annum to four lakh rupees per annum.

Two major events celebrated in the college are traditional day and annual cultural days. The traditional day is for only one day but annual cultural events last for three days at least. They include singing, dancing competitions along with fashion shows. Students as well as teachers take part in these events.

The fee structure as compared to other college is bit expensive. Tuition fees of the college is high to maintain the standard of education. It generally starts from seventy thousand rupees in the first year and according to the rule provided by the university there is five percent increase in the fees per year.

The college is linked to the organization which also runs a bank so it makes it easier to get a loan. If there is problem in paying the fees the staff tries to help out to an extent.

The department I studied in had a fair gender ratio. There was never a significant difference between number of boys and number of girls. The extracurricular activities are frequently carried out in the college. Every week there are debates, group discussions. Labs are important factors of practical knowledge and the Labs are maintained very thoroughly. Everyday cleaning and keeping the machines up to date is regularly done in the college.

The hostels are pretty good but food quality is not up to the mark. Its better if the food is arranged outside of the campus as there are plenty of good restaurants outside of college. Nevertheless the campus has adequate food resources apart from college mess. For the first year students the use of college mess is compulsory.

The alumni network is kept very active and alive by professors of the college. They are frequently brought into the college to guide the students. Also seniors in the college are very cooperative there is no sign of unacceptable behavior by seniors to bother junior students.

The exam structure as provided by the university is very sorted. There are eight semesters with five theory subjects each with some subjects containing only practical exams. And some subjects having both theory and practical exams. Every semester has external exams where teachers from other colleges take the viva of students.

After receiving the scores from JEE and CET exams, I checked out which colleges I qualify to take admission. After that going into ARC centers provided by education board for the particular region I filled out a form of personal information using that form an account was created in the ARC center and a kit was given. Using these things we filled out a form listing our choices for the college sequentially. And after a while we were listed with the colleges I could take an admission. Then I selected this college and went to the college to confirm the admission by paying the fees of the first year.

The faculty of the college is very good. With fair experience of the industry the faculty is very capable and they all possess post graduation degree. There is regular assessment of the faculty through which students can notify the faculty if something is going wrong.
