- 1st thing is the campus life..we have 2 campus one is located at jadavpur and another is located at saltlake..
- 2nd thing is the fest's..there are lots of fest in our university..jadavpur is famous for its culture and fests.
- 3nd this is the bonding between seniors and juniors..specially in Hostle it is too good..we enjoy our campus life too much
Dislikes
- I dont dislike anything..but 1 thing i would like to say that the infrastructure need to more improve..so that the campus looks more beautiful
- 2nd thing is the girl and boy ratio..the amount of girls are very less.
- 3rd thing i don't like about my course is the placement condition..its need to more improve..specially for core field
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to study at a good college. And also the fees of Jadavpur University is too cheaper than other Government engineering colleges. The faculty is good. The strength of our department is very less around 23. That's why we all have a very good bonding with each other. Qualifications of faculty probably MTech, Ph.D., and some years of industry experience. We have 2 semesters in a year and 4 CTs (class tests). If you go to class regularly then you can easily pass on the semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is too cheap. You can complete your 4 years of a bachelor of engineering for only 11000 Rs. For IT Department it's around 30k Rs. If a student still can't afford this. That's why we have free ship. Also, you can get svmcm scholarship(60k per year) if you are eligible. Also, we have scholarships for sc, st, obc. Now come to the placement. The average package is around 7-8lpa. You have many opportunities as you can go to the IT sector, core field, and consultancy companies like PWC. Also government jobs if you are interested.
Campus Life
There are lots of fest like the biggest fest is Sanskriti(9 days), and also we have Ciippus. Our fresher's event and also we have a tech fest called Srijan. Where anyone can perform and show their talent in tech, robotics, etc. Also, we have an individual Departmental fest..so you will enjoy it a lot. The library is also good. We have 2 libraries 1 is located at the Jadavpur campus the other is in the salt lake campus. Also, there are lots of opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities. Like -photography, music, dance, acting, etc. There are almost all the clubs are available like photography clubs, dance clubs, music clubs, mountaineering clubs, coding clubs, etc.
Admission
You have to give Wbjee exam to enter this university in the Engineering Department. You can find the application form on Wbjee's official website. Application fees are around 100 Rs (not sure). Reservation benefits are also available for sc, st, obc, etc. I don't want any Reservation system in the admission process.
