Remarks

St. Francis is definitely the best college I've been to, the fun we had and the rules we've broken, and the assignments, tests, college canteen and its cat.

Entrance Preview

I took the MH-CET exam and scored 93/200. I always wanted to go to a nearby college with great facilities and which has a scope for growth. and St. Francis was the one the fit

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose electronics and telecom field because it had a huge scope in the research field and there were lot of opportunity ahead in the same. across the courses offered by the college this seemed fit and prevailed above other courses. It has theory and math about the telecommunication systems used now and before

Internships Opportunities

A huge number of IT companies came to our college, tcs, capgemini, tech-mahindra etc. the stipend was depending on the post they offered. they offered job contracts with salaries ranging from 2 lacs to 10 lac per annum, each varying on the job description

Placement Experience

3

Many It companies came to our college , the placement training from the college proved useful for clearing the aptitude tests of those companies. salary was based on the post offered by the companies. we could sit for any company provided we are not already placed. companies like TCS, Capgemini, L&T, Tech-mahindra etc had come to offer their jobs

College Events

4.5

our college celebrated two important fests IRIS and Mosaic.IRIS is the cultural fest and the whole college participates. exciting events and tasks are carried out throughout the day. games-indoor as well as outdoors, pc games competitions, singing and dance competition, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure is normal neither too less nor more. it charges us for lab and teaching fees but in a reasonable manner. one thing I'd like to change is including the extra curricular expenses in the fees so that at once the money matter is solved. other than the fees the photocopies are also charged

Fees and Financial Aid

college offers scholarship facility for students whose parents earn less than 6 lacs per annum. those students can avail the scholarship and college grants them some amount in the name of scholarship after verifying the documents. this is the only scholarship facility I'm aware of . of course other than this the loan facility is also available

Campus Life

4.5

campus life is fun. courts for football basketball and cricket were available along with badminton and table tennis. debates were good enough and topics were very interesting. our college participated in various sports tournaments and won too. anyone interested could access the courts within the specified timings

Hostel Facilities

4

hostel facilities are good but the number of people that could stay in hostel are quite a handful, however it doesn't matter since the college is located in town area. many other residential facility are available. the food is good but not so many options are available in the college canteen.

Alumni/Alumna

alumni committee always keeps in touch with the ex students via various means. they offer us turns to teach in class and take a lecture also to help around with other college activities

Exam Structure

The exams and the lab structure was kinda chilled out. at the end of the day we felt saturated but it wasn't hectic. 4 days out of 5 days a week we had labs and project lab gave us ample time to complete our desired work . labs are well equipped and the faculty was very helpful as and when needed

Admission

St. Francis had a minority admission facility for the Christians. since i am a christian I got into then college via minority even though i waited for the online results i already was admitted to the college so it didn't matter then. the online results were going to be displayed late. the interview was good .

Faculty

4

The faculty could be termed as "good" overall. Although there can be improvements in some , its manageable. The faculty focuses on making the students realize the importance of the concept of the topic and the application in the real life. some topics which could be deemed difficult to understand were explained in a manner that was easy to compile

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
