The placements at our college are pretty good. The companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. come to our college to provide opportunities to skilled students. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 3 LPA. The average salary is 3 LPA to 4 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

It will cost about 4,40,000 for completing B.Tech from Computer Science and Engineering Department or any other department from this college. Many scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Scholarships and K2 Shree are also available in this college.

AEC FIESTA is held as a fest and technical fest yearly in the months of March and April. About 65000 books and journals are available in the Central Library of our College. Cricket, Boll boll, Basketball, etc. are sports events held in our college. The hardware clubs, The Science clubs, and the coding clubs are available in this college.

Admission in Asansol Engineering College is taken through WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANC.E EXAM(wbjee) and JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM(JEE Main). You can also take admission directly through Direct Admission. Once you clear the exam you have to participate in wbjee counseling

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
